Re: Philips DreamStation Making Sighing/Wheezing Noise When I Exhale

My Airsense 10 does that when the seal between the machine and the humidifier tank is compromised. So that's another thing to check. Usually just pushing it in more does the trick.

Edit: It also only does it upon exhale.

Re: SD card error

Buy a new SD Card. The detail data from last night's session can't be retrieved, but the summery data can, as soon as you put your new SD Card in. So, the card is no good? It is possible that the formatting just went wonky, thereby throwing the error. Honestly, while there may be a way to revive it...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?

How do you feel? Do you feel as if it is still working? If so, I wouldn't stop using it or get rid of it. The manufacturers say five years because that is likely the median point where parts begin to wear and/or break under normal usage, but there is no hard line in the sand saying that some machine...

Re: Serious issues after 25 years of CPAP

How is it even possible to have an AHI below 1, yet have Desats into the 80% range? Aren't Desats typically due to a high AHI?

The only thing I can think is that the leaks are so bad that you're not getting any realistic benefit from the therapy, but that doesn't explain the AHI of 1.

Re: Cpap.com sale Airsense 10 Auto & free mask $599

Friendly bump. After being in military service, and a 20 year law enforcement officer, there is one thing that I've learned above all else: It is better to have and not need, than to need and not have. I have four Autoset 10s, one main use and three backups, because two is one and one is none. I can...

I would prefer that they don't have internet. I lived the last 20 years of my life in the worst parts of the internet, I'll happily do without. I'm seriously considering getting rid of this "smart"phone and moving back to a flip phone. oh, yeah....i'd forgotten about your special area of law enforc...

As everyone else said, those leaks. Need to figure out what's causing those. I have zero experience with full face masks as I use pillows, but man, those leaks must be blasting you awake. Do you have a beard? If you run the mask fit test and get everything snug, it could just be that you're rummagin...

Re: Just Diagnosed - Advice...in Australia

Several days after getting my first machine, boom, dreams all of the time from there on out. Don't let it freak you out. We don't remember dreams unless we are awakened. This could be a sign that CPAP is causing many awakenings. Six to eight awakenings per night is normal. So, remembering a few dre...
