Re: Weight Loss Causing Large Leaks?
Being in or transitioning to ketosis can have a significant impact on hormones which in turn can affect how well you sleep. While weight loss could be a contributing factor to your mask leaks, fitful sleep can also compromise your mask seal. Looking at your timeline...the two could be related. You c...

Re: DreamMapper Quit
I gave up using DreamMapper about 3 months ago after almost 2 years of using it. I found the android software buggy and unreliable. Data would not download for several days at a time and the data was often inaccurate compared to what the machine reports. Also, heaven help you if you uninstall the ap...

I have the Brevida on order...I'll get to you with my impression after a couple of nights with it.

Re: Feeling Tired and have Wicked Headache
I had to laugh...not at you though, at myself. I had your exact systems for a couple of days when I experimented with a high fat, low carb diet. Once my blood sugar got so low, I felt drained and had a whopper of a headache for nearly two days. I initially blamed it on my sleep! But it turns o...

Re: Newby Question
Ok, it's been a couple of weeks since I've posted on my original topic here so I thought I'd provide an update. After the hellish night I posted about a couple of weeks ago I must have freaked myself out because for about a week it would take me over an hour to fall asleep when it normally takes 5 m...

Re: Newby Question
Wow! I can't even begin to imagine that--I'll consider myself lucky to have had only the one, mildish experience then--further, never to have been pregnant!
I'll definitely be cognizant of the line!

Haha, what were you thinking lady!?
I'm done experimenting with A-Flex!
PS, last night was the first time ever I'd had aerophagia.

Re: Newby Question
Very sound advice Pugsy--after last night I've been thinking along those same lines. Re: Science 101, I knew better, but I did it anyway :D That's good to know info regarding the Respironics adjusting during ramp in auto mode, which reminds me, thank you for sending the link for the clinician manual...

Re: Newby Question
Oh my head, I don't think I've had a worse night's sleep in a LONG time--I'm not sure I can even recount what happened, but I'll try. I made the bump to 8 as discussed, but I also cut out the ramp. It seemed to take a couple of hours to get into a deep sleep and my perception at the time was that th...

Re: Newby Question
Thank you all for responding--truly helpful! I'm hopeful I can report a consistent pressure graph from tonight with fewer hypos. Those hypos bother me...and Sleepyhead reports one of them last night lasted 46 seconds....if that's accurate. Fingers crossed the bump to 8 helps achieve an even better r...

Re: Newby Question
"See those spikes in the pressure? that means the machine thinks you were sleeping great... where there's no spikes, there's room for improvement." Great feedback, thank you! Already set to 8 for tonight. If you can please, can you expound on why the spikes in pressure are good...or why it does spik...
