Re: Waking up with headaches after a nap?

I definitely get nap headaches, and have for a long time. Never understood why I’d get them napping, but not after sleeping at night. Since starting cpap, I’ve napped with and without masking up. Not surprisingly napping with cpap I feel great... without and the headaches are back. So now I mask up ...

Re: Dreamwear FFM Troubleshooting

I finally tamed my Dreamwear FFM leaks with Silent Night liners, and moving to a larger mask size. The measurement card showed medium for me, but it always leaked around the nose and cheeks. Upgrading to the large and tightening the straps significantly means I can toss and turn with zero leaks. Als...

CPAP during Septoplasty recovery

Has anyone had experience with using or not being able to use CPAP after Septoplasty? I’m considering the surgery, but I’m feeling so good on CPAP that I’m worried I’ll have to go 2 weeks without it and feel awful again.

Re: Is there any cheaper oximetry solution for ResMed machines?

I’ve got the CMS 50F. It works great with Sleepyhead. Getting the time to be in sync with the CPAP data can be a bit of a chore, but otherwise it works great. I’ve only used it once, but I did confirm with it that during my CA events, my oxygen was dropping down into the 88-87 range. I’ve since made...

Re: Has anyone used the SoClean to clean their equipment?

I think I know the answer... but if you guys didn’t want to answer the OPs original question, why did you feel the need to hop in here and give them a hard time? Does it make you feel like a special person? If you don’t like or want to use soclean, why not just not ignore the posts? Does it make you...

Re: Has anyone used the SoClean to clean their equipment?

How about instead of getting in a religious war about it we simply answer the OPs question. I just purchased a SoClean machine to clean my equipment. Has anyone else used it? I’m noticing that it’s kinda loud when it runs. Is that normal? Mike Yes it is normal for it to make a lot of noise when it i...

Re: Fresca low-flow CPAP. How does it work?

As I read it, the technology can be thought of as sort of a marriage between the technology of standard PAP and that of those irritating Provent/Theravent-torture band-aid thingies. Yeah... after rereading it a number of times, I think that's an accurate read. At the moment I wouldn't qualify it as...

Yup.. nice catch. I've seen it done before. It's a way to generate inbound links to websites to increase their ranking in search engines.

Re: Fresca low-flow CPAP. How does it work?

Everyone is looking to make a buck... like the "micro cpap" devices. (https://www.ebay.com/i/253383072321?chn=ps) Hopefully the FDA deals with them.

Re: Fresca low-flow CPAP. How does it work?

My understanding is that for CPAP to work, you need to get to at least certain pressures to maintain the airway open. I don't see how "low flow" is going to do that unless I'm missing something. If you read the patent (thanks for the link jnk...) I see lots of talk about a fancy valve to allow expir...

Re: Is hose buddy useful? Newbie here just starting out

If the hose is giving you trouble, and you haven't tried it, you might want to take a look at the DreamWear FFM (see my sig). The hose comes off the top of the head. I'm a side sleeper and I toss and turn, and I never even notice the hose is there. It's of course not for everyone.
