Re: Resmed F30 mask causing AHI to dramatically increase
I use a ResMed F30 mask. It leaks like crazy. I have watched videos, etc. Nothing seems to work to curtail the leakage. Because of the high leakage, you are going to have a higher AHI. I used to use the F20. No leakage and much much lower AHI. However, I would wake up in the morning with a giant red...

Most comfortable full face mask?
For many years I used the ResMed F20 mask. The only problem was that I had a big red whelp on the bridge of my nose every morning. I tried surgical tape. Helped somewhat. I tried gel strips. Got a lot of leakage. After fighting the red whelps for many years, I decided to try the F30. No more red whe...

Delay in getting Replacements for Resmed CPAP
Has anyone had any experience in getting replacements for ResMed CPAP machines from DME's? Am I looking at a month, 2 months, 3 months, etc? I realize that the ongoing Phillips recall is impacting ResMed machine availability.

Availability of ResMed CPAP machines
Does anyone know how difficult it is for Durable Medical Suppliers to get ResMed CPAP machines for Medicare patients? Just by looking on the internet at offerings of ResMed machines, it appears that the prices have greatly inflated, probably due to the Phillips recall and the general inflation that ...

Re: Red Mask Blisters on bridge of nose
Thanks everyone. Lately, I have tried doubling, or even tripling Nexcare flexible clear tape. That seems to help. Bridge of nose gets slightly red, but that's probably the best I can expect.

Red Mask Blisters on bridge of nose
I use an ResMed F20 full face mask, and I am getting a lot of red skin marks across the bridge of my nose. I am looking for anything to help stop the red blister marks. I have tried gel packs, but when I use those, I get a lot of leakage around the edges. I have tried reducing the strap tension, but...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
Catnapper For years my wife told me that i had a sleep problem. Kept her awake at night holding my breath, she thinking I was not going to take that next breath. Finally, I went to my internists and he told me to take an in home sleep test. I scored 58 events per minute. I then was referred to a doc...

Re: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV Configuration
As a new ASV user, it is going to take a little time. My best advise is as follows: Turn off Ramp Up. I have found that the low pressure in the ramp up process only make breathing more difficult. Turn on ASVAuto. Have a fairly high starting pressure, like EPAP 8-11. I use 10. The higher starting pre...

Re: SoClean question and distilled water
I use my SoClean for sanitizing my hose only. I clean my mask and reservoir with soap and water. I undertake this process once a week. Seems to be enough.

Re: What does it feel like to use an ASV CPAP if you don’t need it?
You are sound asleep. When the machine intervenes and forces a breath, it does not awaken you. In my case, at least, I sleep through the entire event, or events. It feels perfectly normal. Sometimes I awaken in the early morning to find air bubbling out the side of my mask. But that is just from the...

Re: Travel machines
I use my ResMed S9 Adapt as my travel machine, without the humidifier. I briefly had a small travel machine (Transcend), and it was sort of a problem. It is small, light weight, and squirley. Easily fell off the night stand with the slightest movement of the air hose. The S9 is a much better choice,...
