Re: Melatonin experience
My current n=1 experience of using it to adapt to night shifts is that it appears to have helped retime my sleep cycles, helps slightly in falling asleep faster, and hasn't had any noticeable side effects. I plan to taper down and stop taking it in another week or two. I have been taking 3 mg as a l...

Re: Searching for Most Comfortable Chin Strap to stop Mouth Leaks
The scunci solution works for me - when I combine it with taping. Alas, in my case, neither works alone.
I tried headgear-style chin straps and found them either too uncomfortable or that they left marks that lasted well into the day.

Re: Mouth taping issues
I can't speak to how effective it is versus painter's tape, but I use Transpore without any issues (other than a bit of gummy/sticky residue to clean away). It's more moisture resistant than painter's tape, which seems to help prevent the tape from coming loose during the night. Good luck!

Re: Are all CPAP users disabled?
This thread got me thinking of a recent experience I had. I recently went camping in the Eastern Sierras, CA. It is a state park with flushing toilets, even showers. Tent spots, as well as, bigger RV spots. No hookups. But I was wondering if they could have a battery charging stations for cpaps? Th...

Re: How I learned to sleep on my side
I'm still struggling to stay on my side - I generally stay under 1 AHI on my side, but range between 1-2 if I roll onto my back. How does this work - just roll it around your arms? Thanks!

Re: Yet another backpacking question.
Thank you both for your time and replies! Pugsy, thanks for that confirmation - it seemed like it'd be easier and cheaper just to leave it empty and turn the humidifier off. I appreciate the guidance, Cap'n. I was afraid that was the case with the Airsense. I've been keeping my eyes open for what's ...

Yet another backpacking question.
Hey y'all, I've been on CPAP for about five months now with very good compliance/success. I have the Airsense 10 AutoSet and am looking at a two-night backpacking trip with my oldest son before he's off to college. Earlier this month I tent camped with the kids overnight on the way to my parent's ho...
