Re: After a month or two with CPAP

Wow. I could not believe what happened last night. I had a total 11 hours of sleep and experienced a little fragmentation because I fell asleep in the lounge while my wife was watching t.v. Despite the interruption, when I woke up again at 6am, I felt that I slept so well! Also last week, friday. I ...

Re: After a month or two with CPAP

Just had my septoplasty and trubinoplasty done on Jul 06. I must admit, I wasn't in pain but regarding with my sleep fragmentation. It hasn't improved yet. This past 2 days my sleep was so fragmented but I think this is because i stopped taking ibuprofen which is a anti-inflammatory. These past few...

Re: Bed Time Restriction Therapy any success stories?

RobySue did it. I think she documented it in her blog but she also documented it here on the forum. http://adventures-in-hosehead-land.blogspot.com/p/taming-cpap-induced-insomnia-monster_19.html I'm on my second day and I haven't felt so refreshed in a while. Yesterday, I still had a fragmented sle...

Re: How I learned to sleep on my side

Just in case someone needs another type of solution. I found this extremely effective and discovered this by accident cause my wife recently bought this. Then decided to give it a go! I have tried using a tennis ball and there's no way I was able to adapt to it. The other commercial solution is sup...

Re: How I learned to sleep on my side

I'm still struggling to stay on my side - I generally stay under 1 AHI on my side, but range between 1-2 if I roll onto my back. How does this work - just roll it around your arms? Thanks! Yes. Get a nice comfy blanket then roll it and tie it. Clasp both of your arms inside. To me, its like hugging...

Re: How I learned to sleep on my side

My problem is I have two injured shoulders that can only tolerate so much time on them. I tried something similar, such as when on business travel, but my body always seemed to find a way to get back into a supine position. Good recommendation, regardless. Cheers. It takes a while because Its a hab...

Bed Time Restriction Therapy any success stories?

Has anyone have success stories with bed time restriction therapy? I'm considering trying this starting this week. I hope I can improve my fragmented sleep.

After a month or two with CPAP

Its inevitable. My ENT and I decided to take the surgery path which is also supported by my upper cervical chiro. I can't reduce my flow limitation while on CPAP therapy and its not progressing at all. My poor sleeping habits have been a great contributor for my neck issues that I've been having sin...

Re: How can I improve this?

Sometimes we just wake up and there is no special cause and not much we can do about it. It's normal to wake up briefly after a REM cycle is completed...usually we aren't awake long enough to form a memory of the wake up but sometimes we do. And then there's what they call a spontaneous arousal...w...
