Re: Even if your CPAP doesn't cause you to feel less tired, do you still keep on using it anyway?
In my case, no. After years of trying and retrying, dozens of masks and thousands of dollars, I finally gave up on Cpap (for now at least). I got tired of waking up feeling worse than I did before starting therapy. I may try again at some point in the future if medical/technological advances are mad...

Re: Cpap headgear
Should the cpap headgear go all the way to the back of your neck or just the back of your head. I'm trying to see if I'm putting my mask on right I'm dealing with discomfort a little bit You may find it's different for you than in any instructional video. This has been the case for me anyway. Follo...

Re: Cannot function daily life, please help!
I skipped from page 1 to page 5 but from what I could gather, it seems to be working for you. Congrats!!
To nail it with the first mask you tried is simply incomprehensible for those of us who are still trying after many years. Cheers to having your life back!!

Re: Who gave up?
Something happened with my notifications and I forgot to check back until now. Thanks everyone! I'd love a proper sleep study with all those specialists on the panel but even a plain old generic one will cost me about $1700 and as I understand it, you only get one shot. I read some of the reviews ab...

Re: Who gave up?
the CPAP is a starting point to diagnose. You might need a different PAP machine to suite your needs. A pulmonary Dr told me it takes time for the machine to narrow down sleep patterns of an individual. Thanks. But it's been years. My machine is auto adjusting. I've tried about 80% of the masks.

Who gave up?
It makes sense that folks who gave up on Cpap wouldn't still be hanging around this forum. But I was just curious about the number of people who are not successful on CPAP and what happens with them?? Are they all just dead or so miserable that they wish they were?? Are there are ANY (even one) succ...

Do not know if this would work in your case. Not too expensive.
Just thought I would throw it out there.![]()

Re: Dents in my head from straps
Worse Than A Dent In The Head!.jpeg It's all about perspective. I hear ya. Of course it could always be worse. But still if it can be better, I'd like to find out how. Considering the dents never go away, then the reality is that it's actually re-shaping my head. And not in a good way. I was...

Re: Dents in my head from straps
No straps! https://www.cpap.com/productpage/bleep-dreamport-cpap-mask I'm well aware. Thanks. I can't use nasal masks. I tried for over a year. Were you the one who has tried all the masks (just about)? I remember there was a guy or gal one here, something like 16 masks and still trying. I can't re...

Re: Dents in my head from straps
What if I also have man boobs! :( Thanks for the response. I’m familiar with pad-a-cheek and use their product (the full wrap cover) for the bottom straps and back of the neck. While it definitely helps I find the material far too thin to accomplish what I need. I had to cut a strip of chamois cloth...

Dents in my head from straps
Is there a layer of fat between my skull and scalp? I’m wondering because the straps from my mask seem to be re-shaping my head. I have dents and mis-shapen areas all day long. I shave my head so it’s painfully obvious. People have commented etc.. Oh the joys of CPAP!

Re: Newbie, keeps getting mask seal leaks. Need help!
Before anyone can help, You need to learn how to properly post your results from the machine using the free software (Sleepyhead or Oscar). Leaks tend to be everyone’s main issue. Not to discourage you but I’m 2 years in and on my 8th or 9th mask. My current mask I would only consider decent but it’...

Re: How much does mouth taping help?
Everything with Cpap therapy is different for everyone. Mouth tape may work well for some and maybe not for you. OR maybe you just haven't found the right method, or tape, or mask, or pillow, or chin strap, or neck brace (etc..etc..etc..) yet. Basically you just have to keep throwing time and money ...

Re: please help me feel rested
Pardon my ignorance but shouldn’t the leak rate be closer to zero?
