Looking for data from Yuwell CPAP
The OSCAR team is looking for SD card data from Yuwell CPAP machines. We have a loader and want to test it on a variety of SD cards to look for problems. We plan to make a test version of OSCAR available to Yuwell users who would like to use OSCAR for examining data from their Yuwell CPAP machine. I...

OSCAR and BMC and vREM CPAP
If you have a BMC or vREM CPAP and would like to help test a new version of OSCAR that supports both, we are looking for beta testers. If you are interested, send a message to Crimson Nape on the ApneaBoard forum.

Re: Effect of mask setting on ResMed machines?
Turns out I already had the data to show that. I am now using a F&P Micro Nova and had about a week with the mask type set to Full Face and another week with it set to Pillows. OSCAR showed more leaks with the pillows setting than with the full face setting.

Re: Effect of mask setting on ResMed machines?
By "leak calculation," does that mean it affects only the reported leaks, as leaks themselves are not an input to the desired pressure calculation? (Since I use fixed pressure, there would be even less for it to affect.) I should try each setting for a week or so and see if there is any perceptual d...

Effect of mask setting on ResMed machines?
One of the settings for the ResMed series (AirCurve 10 VAuto in my case) is for the type of mask: Pillows, Nasal, Full Face. Does anyone know how this setting affects the way the machine operates? Specifically, what happens differently if using a pillows mask and the machine is set for Full Face ins...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
I have now been using the F&P Nova Micro mask for about two weeks. In the past, I used a Brevida mask. At this time, I think I will stick with the Micro Nova mask although it is really pretty much of a toss-up for me. When I first used the NM mask, I thought that the medium cushion had fewer leaks a...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
I have used the Brevida for some years and recently got a Micro Nova fit pack to see how it was. My first reaction on opening the package was that the cushion was amazingly small! I used the M-L cushion with the Brevida. With the Micro Nova, I found that I had to breath harder with the medium cushio...

Re: Replacing Airsense 10 power supply
The upside to hoarding--if there is one. We are in the process of major downsizing as we try moving to an independent living apartment. Floor space is reduced rom 2000 to 1000 sq ft and there is no garage or storage space that we are used to. It's amazing how much CPAP stuff I have. Learn...

Re: Replacing Airsense 10 power supply
We each have a spare machine, so we always have a backup on hand. I do recommend having a spare if possible.

Re: Replacing Airsense 10 power supply
Good news! While looking at the PS in the wastebasket, I discovered that the fine center pin was bent. I was able to straighten it and it now works.

Replacing Airsense 10 power supply
Power brick appears to have failed--CPAP light just flickers on when connected then is dead. With a different power supply, machine works fine. So it looks like I need a new power brick. It's expensive from CPAP suppliers but relatively cheap from various Amazon sellers. Does anyone have experience ...

Re: Water Resevoir Question
When I was using distilled or reverse osmosis water, I would just top off the tank, emptying it only for cleaning. Distilled water does not create a noticeable mineral deposit; RO water produced a very thin film of minerals. With tap water, softened or not, I dump and refill daily. The reason I do t...

Re: OSCAR v1.5.1 released - September 23, 2023
Are you running Windows, do you have a high-resolution monitor? That can cause a similar appearance problem on Windows. If so, go to the OSCAR Troubleshooting Wiki and see the section on "OSCAR Graphics Problems." If not a high resolution monitor, what is your screen size in pixels? (e.g., 1980/1200...

If you got the machine from a local DME, take the machine to them for repair.
