Re: Not waking feeling refreshed good AHI
I'm on day 3 of 12.5 pressure and will post some charts but I still have a low AHI still but I think I'm feeling a bit better when I wake up. I think the machine isn't as far behind the power curve at 12.5. Still need to work on consistent sleep times and chilling out some before bed but I've got a ...

Re: Not waking feeling refreshed good AHI
Hello, jwh. PR machines are fine machines, but they are very conservative about reacting to obstruction and restriction in the airway (OAs, Hs, FLs). That means you need to raise the minimum pressure to a level that will head events off at the pass. So I would recommend that you raise your minimum ...

For Sale PR System One BiPap Auto model 760
Thanks to this board I've been compliant on Bipap and now auto Clap. Long story short, Dr was a doofus and prescribed me a bipap machine instead of cpap. After ya'lls help I got my Ahi way down and am using auto CPAP machine now. I told my Dr to prescribe me an Auto CPAP and I'm down to .05 AHI no t...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
Moving in the right direction. I've made another appointment with the sleep Dr in a couple weeks to see what I can do to get on insurance. I want to Bring my card with under 5 Ahi per night so that it shows me being technically treated. Still trying to get it as low as possible though. The last clus...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
I'll try the PS again because that seemed to help with the OA's then a higher minimum pressure I guess.

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
i have chronic congestion issues due to allergies and found I am able to use the P10 nasal pillow mask 95%+ of the time. I am still looking for my ideal FFM for the other 5% of the time. I think it is worth trying nasal pillows even if you have sinus issues. Thanks ya'll! I'll give one a shot. I go...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
Which full face mask are you using? Maybe we can find a more quieter model... Does it just have to be full face? And yes...that OA cluster at the end of the night you were probably awake and it's what we call SWJ or sleep/wake/junk and doesn't count. I would ignore it. Awake/semi awake flagged even...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
Going to try this setting for another night.I woke up unusually early but I'm not tired which I guess it good. I left the mask on while trying to go back to sleep and I think that's where most of the reported OA's came in the last couple minutes before I turned the machine off. If tonight isn't any ...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
Obstructive is better for sure. CA's are up though. The PS was a little weird feeling. Inhaling the machine would force air and the mask would inflate which was distracting and made me feel out of breath because as as soon as I would inhale, I'd get a blast of air. The ramp feature allowed me to get...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
I'm 29, 209 pounds, athletic build. Hi Dude, Sorry you're having such difficulty with cpap...but it's all too common. I noticed the above comment about your build and it reminded me of something I read recently. Guys who are very muscular seem to have more of an issue with OSA. I'm talking bodybuil...

Re: Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
Thanks for the reply and the info. I went ahead and reposted but will make the changes and come back in a few days! I'm not sure why it's not set at bi level. I guess they set it like that so It would be more like a cpap? I've set it before for CPAP mode and was able to sleep with the mask on all ni...

Help with Therapy after Dr said he didn't know what to do
Hello! I've been lurking for a bit and have been learning a lot. I've had more success from this site than the sleep Dr. Quick history Initial sleep study 2013. The second sleep test when I slept with the machine was terrible and the tech ended up being fired a couple days later for just being terri...
