You didn't say whether you're using a heated hose (specific for Dream Station CPAPs), or "standard" hose (that will fit almost any CPAP).
I'm using a standard hose. Thanks everyone for your help.

Difficulty removing hose from APAP

I just completed my first week on APAP. Things seem to be going well thanks to assistance from Pugsy. My Problem: Removing the hose from the machine was very difficult. The soft rubber end of the hose was very difficult to move. I got it off but had to really pull and twist it with some force to do ...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

"We know you woke up turned the machine off at the end of whatever this was. Do you remember being a wake briefly before you turned the machine off? Did you wake up and lay there for a few minutes and then decide to turn the machine off?" Yes, I did wake up (both times) and lay there for a few minut...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

I see what you mean about the red/black boxes in lower left. I'm not sure what it is that you want me to send you regarding flow rate nor how to do it? Should I change my maximum pressure to something below 20 now? I think I had the machine off at about 3:15am this morning for a bathroom break. Mayb...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

Good morning Pugsy, I set the maximum pressure at 20 for last night as you suggested. Something Odd: The results I posted for 5-23-18 yesterday are now different when I look at 5-23-18 on SleepyHead now. The AHI, pressure, etc. are at odds with my posting yesterday. I will attach below the "new" num...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

Good morning Pugsy, I raised the minimum pressure to 9.5 as you suggested. Interesting night last night: At about 9:15 pm last night I attached a different mask (AirTouch F20) to my APAP in order to fit it and maybe give it a go. I did fall asleep but it was very uncomfortable(at bridge of nose) and...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

Yes I am old and so is my prostate. I will raise the minimum to 9.5 as you suggest and try to fit the mask better. The VA has offered to give me a split night sleep test. They last gave me one about a dozen years ago. They are not treating me for my OSA as I did better without them last time (not kn...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

Good morning Pugsy, Slept well last night. Got up at about 11PM and again about 4:30AM for bathroom breaks. Used the humidifier (unheated) for the first time. It seems to have made things more quiet but with my hearing loss sound is never much of a problem. Seemed like the pressure was less, could t...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

Thanks Pugsy. I think I'll set up the humidifier but run it without heat. I like cool air blowing against my face. It should still pick up some moisture even without heat. Do you agree? I also own another FFM. It's an AirTouch F20 FFM. Should I experiment with this other mask or continue with the Si...

Re: Followed Board Advice - Please Compare 2 Days

Hi Pugsy, I raised the minimum pressure to 9 as you suggested and also used the Biotene dry mouth oral rinse you mentioned (no dry mouth last night). I may not need the humidifier I ordered yesterday after all. I feel like I had a good night's sleep. I awoke about midnight for a bathroom break and a...

Thanks Pugsy.

Yes I am and I live in the Mojave Desert. Guess that makes me not too bright.
