Re: What's going on at cpap.com?
Please get back on topic and if you don't remember the topic....go back and read the very first post in this thread. Will do! I shall certainly avoid commenting on how that asshole posts how it's "not social media" then posts a pile of social media; and then posts "much more severe in recent years"...

Re: What's going on at cpap.com?
Universal incompetence has become much more severe in recent years than ever before. Not true. Overall, we're in pretty good shape: cust.satis.jpg The problem is social media. People read one untoward comment and then it's like "Omigod! The sky is falling!!" Actually, if you read independent review...

Re: What's going on at cpap.com?
Universal incompetence has become much more severe in recent years than ever before. It is rampant. It can be found everywhere. Expectations of things the way they used to be, or the way they should be, is long gone. Incompetence exists from the smallest inconvenience store to the largest corporatio...

Re: Machine says 10 events per hour. I call BS, and I have the proof
You’re comparing breathing while talking to laying in bed doing nothing, not talking. Of course breathing changes while talking. Thanks for the talking data, but I wasn’t talking. No, the point I was making was one can have events while awake because, you\ve been insisting that one can't have event...

Re: Machine says 10 events per hour. I call BS, and I have the proof
Do you have “events” if you’re awake and breathing? Yup. Usually central crap following yawns, sighs, boredom, pending sleep. Further, without EEG, you can't prove there wasn't some sleep during that period. You mean I wouldn’t know if I fell asleep, even for a short time? I was awake the whole tim...

Re: Machine says 10 events per hour. I call BS, and I have the proof
The machine doesn't know (or care) whether you're asleep or not. It measures the duration and reduction of flow. That is the data, and it is accurate. The machine doesn’t have to know whether or not I’m asleep. The point is, I knew I wasn’t asleep. How can there be “events” if I’m awake and breathi...

Machine says 10 events per hour. I call BS, and I have the proof
I recently got a new machine, the ResMed AutoCurve 10 VAUTO. For the 10 nights or so that I’ve had it, it tells me in the morning that I’m having 20-30 events per hour. This sounded a bit high to me, so I did a little test this evening. I put my nasal mask on for an hour and a half, but stayed awake...

Re: Water in mask
Thanks for the awesome explanation, Pugsy. My mask does have a short hose that attaches to the regular hose. And the room is a little on the cool side. So I think I will try a hose cover, whatever it's called. The thing that wraps around the hose.

Re: Water in mask
Thank you all for your replies and suggestions. 1) My machine is at least a foot below the level of my head. 2) I've tried using the machine without humidification. I am awakened by my throat being parched. 3) The heated tube feels like it's working. It doesn't get really, really warm, though, even ...

Water in mask
I use a DreamStation Auto BiPAP machine with humidifier with a heated hose. I use a Resmed Airfit N20 nasal mask. I fill the humidifier with distilled water, set the humidifier setting to 3 (of 5), set the heated hose to 4 (of 5). I wake up with lots of droplets of water in the mask. I'm amazed I'm ...
