Re: Water in mask

Thanks for the awesome explanation, Pugsy. My mask does have a short hose that attaches to the regular hose. And the room is a little on the cool side. So I think I will try a hose cover, whatever it's called. The thing that wraps around the hose.

Re: Water in mask

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions. 1) My machine is at least a foot below the level of my head. 2) I've tried using the machine without humidification. I am awakened by my throat being parched. 3) The heated tube feels like it's working. It doesn't get really, really warm, though, even ...

Water in mask

I use a DreamStation Auto BiPAP machine with humidifier with a heated hose. I use a Resmed Airfit N20 nasal mask. I fill the humidifier with distilled water, set the humidifier setting to 3 (of 5), set the heated hose to 4 (of 5). I wake up with lots of droplets of water in the mask. I'm amazed I'm ...

Re: Frustrated with exhalation issue

Thank you, folks, for your replies. It's nice to know that there are concerned and knowledgeable people here who can be relied upon. I sleep with only one pillow, not especially thick, so my head is already pretty flat. It's the same pillow I was using before the exhale problem. But I will look into...

Frustrated with exhalation issue

For the longest time, my BiPAP pressures were 18 inhale and 15 exhale. A new sleep study some months ago warranted changing the exhale to 14. The study showed there were a lot more apneas at 15. A sleep specialist reviewed the sleep study results with me, and transmitted the new prescription to my D...

.I went looking for the group rules and found no post listing any.
In all fairness, maybe you're just bad at finding things... have you tried google? or, even, looking at the bottom of every single page?

Re: Any Mac users out there using SleepyHead?

I specifically pointed out in the Mac forum that the SleepyHead compatibility indicated "10.7+", and I said there that I assumed the "+" meant anything later than 10.7. Here are the replies I got: The official results of your CPAP SDHC card data should be read periodically by the respiratory care s...

Love your cat picture, Bertha. And the play on words "Bertha DeBlues". Lol. By the way, I'm also in SW Pennsylvania.

Google brought me here too. But this search was easy: apnea forum. Not all searches are that easy. :)

Re: Are there no rules for basic humanity in this group?

The folks at this board literally saved my life. That is SOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!! Seriously!! I'm not taking any credit, but I sure do understand what you mean! When people care and help by saying more than "Google is your friend", it is tremendously rewarding. I often say to my wife, half kidding...

Re: Are there no rules for basic humanity in this group?

Then you have the users who like to say things like, "Google is your friend." That's basically the ONLY answer they give to a question. Well, it's not an answer. Somewhere in the 3,000,000,000 results may be the exact answer to the exact question, That is the problem with google... Yeah, the answer...
