Re: O/T what are your hobbies or things you do for fun?
Way, way, way too many! I race bikes (the kind you pedal), train and compete in Brazilian jiu jitsu, play guitar, and fly fish/tie flies. I suppose distance running is a hobby, too, but that's more to keep in shape.

Re: Numbers are trending down, but can you help me clean up these hypopneas?
You may want to read up on what a hypopnea actually is and then zoom on on each hypopnea marked in your data and see if it is really an hypopnea or a wild guess by the machine. I use a ResMed machine and they seem to be heavy handed with hypopneas and tend to score them when there isn't real suppor...

Re: Numbers are trending down, but can you help me clean up these hypopneas?
Sounds like a sensible plan. Once you get to the point of perhaps trying 0.5 cm increments I would suggest giving the setting change a one week trial to establish patterns and trends and not go changing things too quickly. There is some truth to the "give it time" thing. The body and brain does nee...

Numbers are trending down, but can you help me clean up these hypopneas?
Hello! This forum has been super helpful as I've gotten settled into to using CPAP this past week. After a tough first night, where my Dreamstation auto was set to wide open, I've increased the pressure minimums (from 4 to 7 to 8) and have seen my AHI decline from 11 the first night to just under 4 ...

Re: First night on APAP. Need some advice.
Thanks, LSAT. Wasn't sure if I was jumping the gun by adjusting the pressure on night two.

First night on APAP. Need some advice.
Hiya! Thanks for the warm welcome yesterday. I survived my first night of treatment, though I'm pretty beat today. My Dreamstation came set at the 4-20 range, which from reading here I know isn't great. I've adjusted it to 7-12 based on the Sleepyhead data posted here. Can someone guide me to make s...

Thanks, everyone! I preinstalled Sleepyhead, so I'll see how it goes tonight and report back here with the findings.

New in town. Anything else I should be doing?
Hello, all! Just wanted to say that this forum has been really helpful as I've been navigating the waters of sleep apnea these past few weeks. I was just diagnosed with mild sleep apnea through a home sleep study. I forgot to get a copy of the final report (it's on the way from the doctor, though), ...
