Re: Help with VA rating

I would not have predicted obstructive sleep apnea for you. Do you have any idea about the size of your tonsils? No idea about my tonsil size, I do see the dentist twice a year and I am not sure whether or not they can tell if my tonsils are enlarged but it’s never been brought up to me. Which mode...

Re: Help with VA rating

ChicagoGranny Here is a report of my sleep study, I crossed out my name. But if you look close and zoom it, without C-PAP I had 138 OSA, 8 hypopneas, 0 CSA and 0 mixed apnea’s. The findings with CPAP 1 OSA, 7 central sleep apnea, 0 mixed apnea, and 4 hypopneas. I’m pretty sure my CPAP is at the prop...

Re: Help with VA rating

The connection between obesity and OSA is complex. While obesity can aggravate the effects of OSA, losing weight rarely cures it. Many people are overweight BECAUSE of apnea--not the other way around. Any doctor who ASSumes weight loss will "cure" apnea-- probably CHEATED his way through med school...

Re: Help with VA rating

ChicagoGranny, Actually I should clarify this was without CPAP, this was back in June of 2017 when I recorded my sleep with my smartphone and noticed I didn’t snore as much or loud. I started using my CPAP again in December of 2017 when my psychiatrist asked me if I was using my CPAP, and I told her...

Re: Help with VA rating

Regardless of service connection or not, the fact remains that we OWE most of our veterans decent medical care--without being forced to fight for every little thing. They EARNED at least that, through their service and sacrifice. I’m not disagreeing with you about that. There is a lot of bureaucrac...

Re: Help with VA rating

ChicagoGranny, when you mentioned the central sleep apnea and trauma, I have noticed I don’t snore as much as I use to. When I was 192lbs when I had my sleep study in 2012 I was snoring pretty loud. I have recorded myself through a sleep app, and I do hear my self quit breathing quite a bit but not ...

Re: Help with VA rating

ChicagoGranny, sorry if my answers are all around I am typing on my smartphone and it’s hard to fix up the quotes. I attached a few pictures of myself below, I don’t think at least for me it has anything to do with my neck size or dimensions that’s causing my OSA. I quit my CPAP therapy for years un...

Re: Help with VA rating

How did military service cause your airway to collapse. I was poisoned by Agent Orange, something that can never be corrected, I also have Sleep Apnea, I never applied for a disability for it because !. It's not the Armys or Governments fault I have it, however them ruining my health by Spraying Ag...
