Re: Manometer results
I have an AirSense 10 Autoset. The pressure is set at 14. I have the ramp function off. When I turn on the machine the gage quickly ramps up to 14. Today I put an manometer on the the outflow side and it reads a steady pressure of 10.6. There is a relief (?) hole that blows air. If I put my fingere...

Re: Manometer results
what you saw means that while your setting is at 14, you never needed more than 10 last night Jim, Thanks for the input. The reason for the original post is my suspicion that the machine calibration if off. My mask never entered this equation. I'll need to get the machine it to the local DME for a ...

Re: Manometer results
The 'hole' that 'blows air' is so that CO2 can be vented out on exhalation - never cover it. And what you saw means that while your setting is at 14, you never needed more than 10 last night... though that can change of course (tonight, next week, etc). n my post I am talking about a manometer, not...

Re: CPAP data
Thanks. That helps. What additional things are measured in “events per hour”.
BTW appreciate your quick response.

CPAP data
My Airsence machine measures total events per hour, AHI, total AI and Central AI. I don’t understand the difference between, total events per hour and AHI (# of apnea’s or hypopneas per hour). And total AI which is lower than AHI.

Re: CPAP Basics - - Table of Contents
I'm probably looking in the wrong place, but my ResMed CPAP machine reads out "Events, AHI. Total AI and Central AI." While I understand the basic definitions, I'm note sure I understand the differences of the numbers. Which is most critical? What do they all mean?

Increased events
I have been using a ResMed Airsence 10 Autoset and a Quantro Air Mask for 9 1/2 months. The first month changed masks The first 7 1/2 months my events and AHI averaged in the mild area. The last 2 months the events to the moderate area and this month the AHI topped out at 30. None of the settings ha...
