Re: Need advice--I think my 78 year old father has sleep apnea
Thank you to everyone for your thoughtful replies. I have a lot to think about. I'm not sure you should be 'diagnosing' someone his age regardless of how much you think he's got apnea I'm not diagnosing him. I'm just encouraging him to talk to his doctor about it and see if the doctor thinks he shou...

Need advice--I think my 78 year old father has sleep apnea
My 78-year-old father has snored very loud for as long as I can remember. LOUD as in "is there a train coming through the house?" Not sure if he still snores that loud now, though. However, he told me recently that when he sleeps on his back he sometimes can't breathe or he wakes up gasping for air....

Re: Am I missing the obstructive sleep apnea event in Sleephead?
I was hoping it was something like that, but I could not figure out how to get it back in the list. I hadn't done any updates on the software, so it made no sense that it would be gone suddenly. I'm at work now, so I can't check to see if that's what's going on. I'll do it when I get home. Thank you...

Am I missing the obstructive sleep apnea event in Sleephead?
I've only been using this software for a few weeks, but I was certain there used to be an event indicator for an obstructive apnea on this graph. I don't see it anymore. Can someone explain what I'm missing here? Didn't there used to an "OA" in that column on the left?
Thank you!

Re: What happens after a leak?
Now obviously multiple remembered awakenings means that we woke up often and that in itself is unwanted in terms of the normal progression of all the needed sleep cycles because it messes up the cycles. Figuring out what causes multiple awakenings isn't always so easy because the list of things tha...

What happens after a leak?
Last night I woke up at 2:30 a.m. This morning I looked at the data using the Sleepyhead software. About 15 minutes before I woke up, I had my one and only obstructive apnea of the evening. Are these events related? How are they related? Why would I wake up 15 minutes *after* having an obstructive a...

Re: How long will this burst of energy last?
I don’t know how long it will last but your post gives me hope. I still feel exhausted despite sleeping through the night and having a low AHI (1 last night). I really hope you're able to feel good soon! Honestly, those first two days of high energy made me feel pretty uncomfortable. Last night I e...

I can't figure out if there's a way to respond to individuals, so I'll have to put everything in this reply. Thank you for the link on how to update my profile. I will do that soon. Thank you for the suggestion to cut back on the number of hours I sleep. I'll have to see if this continues like this...

How long will this burst of energy last?
I started my CPAP therapy 13 days ago. Nothing for the first 10 days. I was exhausted all of them. And then two nights ago I somehow slept for 10 and a half hours and yesterday I had so much energy I thought I was going to jump out of my skin. Last night I slept for eight and a half hours and I feel...
