This was posted above but to start make sure the machine is set to the type of mask you are using. Its a regular menu setting, not one of the deep clinical settings.

The pressure on an airplane is set to 8000 feet above sea level pressure. That could cause it. As CG pointed out there are machines specifically rated for flight. Mine does fine in Denver, I haven't taken it camping in the mountains yet... but now you have me worried!
