Re: Howdy! Recently diagnosed, now being treated.
I'm glad you brought up the red mark from the Resmed Airfit F20. I also have the Airfit F20 and I have the red mark on my nose. Right now, I just cover it with makeup. I think it may be from rubbing and movement of the mask at night because my mask is super comfortable for me and I don't feel much p...

Re: Question about AHI & Sleep quality
Yes, my sleep quality is much better. I woke up early this morning after only 6 hours of sleep where I used to sleep 12 hours desperately trying to function. I was so tired back then! I had actually been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment because my GP didn't realize it was OSA. (the MCI disap...

Re: Question about AHI & Sleep quality
Thank you all for your replies!! Pugsy, it is an across the board increase both my OSA and Central doubled. Julie, that makes a lot of sense. The higher pressures would make the effect of the EPR more significant? I think I'll turn that off simply because at 6cm I doubt the EPR really does much and ...

Question about AHI & Sleep quality
I will confess that part of this post is to celebrate having my new doctor and a hugely positive change in my therapy! :D I went to my sleep doctor the day before yesterday, and she said my "grades" were excellent. She was concerned to hear that I was still having frequent wakings, daytime sleepines...

Re: My follow up visit
Sounds like you're getting great numbers! I wish my first sleep doc had been so thorough as yours is! I ended up with a new one because my insurance changed and I'm glad I did! I'm also pretty new to this gig, and it seems to be a bit overwhelming at times.

What about when you need to breathe through your mouth? Just pull up the big girl panties and deal with it? LOL

Re: 18 year old with mild sleep apnea - will I ever recover?
I can VERY much relate to your fears. I went from being a 4.0 undergrad in college to failing all of my classes and being diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment. It turns out that one of my medications was completely destroying my nighttime breathing. Coming off of that medicine still left me at 2...

My Cheeks wake me up!
Hello everyone! I've been using CPAP for 2 months now and I am loving the results that I'm getting from it. I actually don't mind the machine at all. My husband doesn't like it, he jokes around and calls it the intimacy killer LOL. I had nasal pillows with a chinstrap before and found that I cannot ...
