Re: Compliance vs Usage Time
Yep, the 7 day averages look right. The overnight number is an actual, not an average, so with the cutoff at noon it makes it look abnormal. I think if I woke and looked at 11.30am it would show a very different set of numbers to 12.30.

Re: Mask Leaks
I've used a Fullface mask for years now. I found a nasal mask has a lot of drawbacks in terms of not ensuring mouth leaks and being more problematic with colds, etc. But with the greater area of mask perimeter comes greater mask leak potential issues. I reckon I've had 7 or 8 FF masks and they have ...

Re: Understanding My Results After Sleep Study
I haven't seen my sleep doctor for over 10 years. He discharged me saying my OSA was resolved, even though I've haven't found very much energy above what I had when I collapsed from it 11+ years ago. I always felt this sleep specialist was rather flagrant and off-hand about my disease. Like "tell me...

Re: Compliance vs Usage Time
Thanks DH, but in another thread Julie has solved the issue for me without even realising it lol. One thing to remember is that machines usually clock from noon to noon, so if you look at last nite's results after noon, you won't get a full picture. If that helps anything. I have a reversed sleep pa...

Re: Compliance vs Usage Time
Thanks Pugsy, I was coming to the same conclusion myself. I actually think the machine is incorrectly reporting overnight data cos last night it had zeroes on everything when I woke after about 7 hours. I went back to sleep for just over an hour more and compliance reported 2 hours, AHI still 0 and ...

Re: Anyone Else Have Felt 'Crippled' By This Stupid Disorder?
Hi all, So I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea since I was 21, but I was tired even in high school. As of late, I've accepted that I need to use my CPAP machine...but even after consistently using it, I still feel tired. I try to keep the mask on my face, and I'm also now going to try chin straps ...

Re: Compliance vs Usage Time
Thanks for the replies Roger and Julie. Roger you are right I think about the 4 hour compliance time for insurance, but I own the machine outright and have never got a cent from insurance (which I had when I got my first)...so its irrelevent from that perspective. I'm just keen to know why I'm aslee...

Compliance vs Usage Time
Hi there, brand new to this forum, a CPAP veteran of sorts. Been on CPAP for 11 years using mainly one machine, a Fisher and Pykel that produced very little user data. Had OSA most my life, but was only diagnosed 11 years ago...have worn my CPAP mask every night since (besides a camping trip where t...
