Re: Not sure what to do next

Why the "for her"? Because it has 3 modes of operation and the regular AutoSet has only 2 modes of operation. You may or may not need/like/want/use that special auto algorithm but you might and it's always better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it. 3 modes.. fixed cpap m...

Re: What I learned Take what you like leave the rest

You seem to have the machine with all the bells and whistles already. But if you are advising others to get simpler machines without efficacy data because they are "simpler" and therefore better, you are doing them a disservice. There's no empirical way to know how effective your treatment is witho...

Re: What I learned Take what you like leave the rest

It says in your profile you have an Autoset ... that is a great machine .... wish everyone would go for that one instead of taking the brick CPAP or AirStart machines... Good luck with your treatment ... you'll be quite happy with that machine... You now can be in control of your treatment, the way ...

A used machine isn't an issue at all to me. I have bought well over a dozen machines over the years and 90% of them have been used.
But if it bugs you too much get a brand new one.
And if going for new do NOT get a brick... Go for the AUTO... You should really get up on that deal here! 8)

Re: Help! Don't understand sleep study results-no REM

If I go off these meds how long does it take to find out if it helps? I have no idea and it's really something you should discuss with your doctor. My sister was having some fatigue issues and was on some kind of heart medication or BP med (I forget exactly) and she got her doctor to changes the me...

Re: Not sure what to do next

Buy this machine from this forum member and don't take too long to make up your mind because it won't last long. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t171589/Airsense-10-Autoset-For-HerFor-Sale.html It's a very fair price and a full data machine and you can use SleepyHead software and get all the data...

Re: Something to block leaks hitting my eyes?

People on the dry eye forum lay "Press n Seal" across their eyes to keep the humidity in - I've tried it and it works well to block the air. There was another thread here with someone using that around their mouth too ... Guess you could take it to the next level, stick on your mask and wrap ...

Just curious, but why do you just use plain Cpap vs auto when auto machines can do cpap, but not the other way around? Autos give you more options and are better at providing meaningful data using software so you can tweak things if necessary.
THIS!

Get the AUTO ....... !
