Re: Ordered Airsense 10 for her, received Airsense 10

If you require pressures above 12 cm, then you wouldn't want to use the For Her mode. From the clinical manual: AutoSet for Her mode is based on key aspects of ResMed’s AutoSet algorithm and delivers therapeutic responses tailored to the characteristics of female OSA patients. The AutoSet for Her i...

Re: Ordered Airsense 10 for her, received Airsense 10

Assuming you received the AirSense 10 AutoSet and not the Elite or CPAP models. There is no regular AirSense 10. The For Her model the preferred because it has an extra mode that the AutoSet doesn't have. This mode is designed and targeted for females, and isn't widely used by women or men. I don't ...

Re: ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto turning off spontaneously

Oh, did I miss the announcement for the AirCurve 11? I had been postponing updating my machine, waiting for the 11, and since there was no word, I got a 10 last year. Anyway, where can I read some info on it? is the clinician's manual out already? I'm curious to see what other differences from the ...

but that feature also causes an automatic shutoff when it thinks the mask has been taken off. I feel that's unnecessary at best, and if it must be present, it should have its own setting, but that's how the AirCurve is designed. I know this won't help those of us with Air 10s, but this feature has ...

Re: Understand my new Resmed Airsense 11Autoset

It depends what type of Ramp I tend to answer the question(s) as presented. Since Ramp was mentioned and not Auto Ramp....that's why I didn't go into Auto Ramp. Thank you for further expanding though. My typing is still extremely limited and will be for several weeks. I am trying to keep my answers...

Re: Understand my new Resmed Airsense 11Autoset

4) Am I correct in my observation that Resmed does no Flow Limitation grading during ramp? You correct (mostly). Expanding on Pugsy's answer. It depends what type of Ramp. ResMed has two types of Ramp and they behave differently. Timed Ramp: You set the ramp time in 5 minute increments. Ramp will g...

The picture that DS posted is showing the flow sensor, not the pressure sensor, which is on the other end of the air module, where the humidifier connects.
I should have known, given there were two of them.

Re: Sensors used by CPAP manufacturers

ResMed reports two "pressure" values. Set Pressure and Mask Pressure , the latter of which is measured. resmed_10_pressure.jpg The sensors are shown in the above pic. Because of the Philips recall there are a fair number of defoaming videos, some of which show their sensors. Technically, the Mask Pr...

The Beta is not public, and the OSCAR team is requesting the download link not be published.

Currently, the last version is the release candidate. Today is the due date for Release Candidate problem reports. I'm interpreting that as an imminent release, but that is speculation on my part.

Re: Airfit P10 Extremely Noisy

I agree with palerider. The P10 is absolutely silent. I been through 3 maybe 4, P10 masks, and many sets of pillows in various states of "newness". :) And can't recall hearing anything from them. P10's, because of the strap design, kind of have a love hate relationship, but the complaints are not ab...

Re: questions about tubes

The water in the tank felt room temperature after it "warmed up." Can't figure out what the warm up is supposed to be doing. The warmer the water the more water vapour that will be generated. Boiling water (100 C) generates a lot of water vapour (steam). Almost boiling water (95 C) generates a lot ...
