Re: What is your biggest CPAP struggle?

Need help! Sleep doc here…I am creating some sleep apnea and CPAP educational material and I want it to be useful. Could you help me by answering any or all of the following questions: -what do you struggle with the most with your CPAP? - what do you wish your doctor or DME company would have told ...

Re: Airfit P10 Extremely Noisy

The one new mask I haven't had a chance to try is the ResMed N30 cradle cushion under the nose mask. It supposedly has the same diffused venting system as the P10 so should be silent. You might take a look at it if you haven't already. https://www.resmed.com/en-us/healthcare-professional/products-a...

Re: Provider mentioned I cant use SD card with rental Airsense 10 Autoset

I spoke to them on the phone and told them I would like to use an SD card to read my data through OSCAR and they said this isn't possible. They mentioned that they automatically capture data through their own Resmed software and they are able to send me the data as often as I would like. You see, t...

Re: have tried so many masks

A hose management system might help. Before I started using the Bleep, I went through about 15 or more masks. Yes, it was the hardest part of adjusting to PAP usage! But I understand what you mean about pressure...I felt like a lot of the masks that I tried put pressure on my upper lip/teeth...

Re: New member from Canada

Then I must find a place to enter the prescription in the ResMed S9 autoset/epr Why only looking at full face masks? Chronic nasal congestion? Can you breathe through your nose during the day? Nasal masks are much easier to keep sealed. As Pugsy says, nasal masks are much easier to keep sealed. Thi...

The sheriff mentioned hose hangers in passing. Worth a look? I’m sold on them.
I use a hose hanger as well. Game changer for me! :D

Re: anyone try somnifix

I tried Somnifix because I have a problem with mouth leaks (I use the Bleep, so no leaks around the mask :D ). I get varying degrees of dry mouth, and throat when it's really bad!, and drooling, which wakes me up and irritates me. I found that Somnifix minimized it a bit, but somehow, I still manage...

Re: New to C Pap

Someone else chiming in to say that everyone is different! My husband, a long-time PAPer who started years before me, warned me ahead of time that I would initially feel like I was drowning with the air coming at me, based on his experience. But that once I got used to it, I would start sleeping thr...

Re: Question for people interested in the Bleep DreamPort no headgear cpap mask

There are a couple of vendors with good prices on Amazon right now. One is selling each box for 12.99, another for 14.39 -20% coupon code, which according to my math (granted, not my strong suit!) comes to about 11.50. Certainly worth taking a look.

Re: AirMini cleaning and maintennce

I have an AirMini that I use for travel. Most of our trips are 2+ weeks so I generally change the filter after each. I don't bother after weekend trips, so the filter may be used for month or bit more. My mask is the Bleep, so that is changed daily. I am still using the original hose. I guess that i...

Oh, I am glad you had your surgery and sorry you are now in pain. But I hope it is successful and that in time (hopefully sooner rather than later! :D ) you are feeling better than you have! Sending healing thoughts, prayers, and virtual hugs your way!

Re: First Few Nights with Bleep and I'm Still Getting Leaks

When I put on my DreamPorts at night, I cover them with my fingers and try to breathe in and out to be sure I have no leaks. Then, once I attach the interface, I cover the end of the short hose with my palm and breathe in and out again to ensure that I have attached the interface correctly. Occasion...

Re: AirMini with Dreamwear Nasal Mask

When I travel, I use my AirMini with my regular (very much preferred!) mask, the Bleep. Honestly, after using the Bleep for so long, I don't know that I could sleep with anything else! And I definitely agree with CG, try it all out at home first to be sure your setup works well for you. I did end up...
