Re: Thank you from an occasional lurker
I thought you might appreciate the mention of the method, despite my not mentioning any specific names :-) ALWAYS happy to know that something i suggest actually works! for those interested, susan is referring to jay's scunci method of keeping lips tightly pressed so that ones mouth doesn't open dur...

Thank you from an occasional lurker
I know y'all know this, but just wanted to reinforce how helpful you are to those who don't post questions ourselves--both the long-time posters who are very knowledgable, AND the users who post questions are gems. My transition to Resmed Airsense 10 from DreamStation was not as smooth as others hav...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have similar circumstances. Medicare did not pay for my 3.5 y/o machine, and they are paying for my supplies. I provided the info you mentioned to my DME and picked up my new Resmed Airsense yesterday. I suspect you will be picking up your new machine as soon as your DME gets it in. Based on my ex...

Well, I happen to have an acquaintance with the science of Toxicology, and I agree with your point CG. Wondering if you’ve had a chance to read everything and reach any conclusions. Maybe your knowledge of toxicology will provide an answer to a question about the offgassing issue. Can there be offg...

Thanks for the recommendation. My library has it, so I’m going to check it out. Looks interesting.

Re: Dreamstation does not diplay AHI
Have you tried turning that first setting— in the upper left corner—to “on”? Without comparing it to my machine I can’t be sure, but that sure looks like it could be info.

Re: Dreamwear nasal mask
I love it too! Tried a couple different masks during sleep study and don’t think I could deal with anything but this very non-invasive mask.

Re: Why are there so many bad reviews of the Philips Respironics DreamStation?
I’ve been using my Dreamstation for six months. I am sensitive to noise, and am not at all bothered by my CPAP noise. Occasionally I’ll notice breathing sounds, but they don’t keep me from falling asleep. My husband said he occasionally hears slight noise. In my dry part of TX, using humidity set at...

Re: Depressed about my new condition
I can relate to your pity party. Did the same for awhile. Even dragged my feet on going to get the machine. I got lucky with the right mask and started sleeping through the night right away. After hanging out here I got my settings tweaked and get good sleep every night. I wish the same for you.

Re: DreamStation & DreamMapper App
Several times over the past couple of weeks I’ve had to close the app and reopen it multiple times to get the data to show up 😕. Yes, the app has its flaws but when it works it’s a quick check which is all I need 99% of the time now that my therapy is optimized. I don’t know about you, but my bladde...
