Re: Burping Up Food. Throat Closing Up. HELP/ADVICE?
I don't recall your saying whether or not you were titrated in a classic sleep study. It's not a complete answer for your issue, but if they can duplicate in the lab what you experience at home, knowing what pressure is recommended can certainly help. A constant pressure may be better for you, if yo...

Re: Burping Up Food. Throat Closing Up. HELP/ADVICE?
... They said I got a fungus in my esophagus (candida) from all the steroid nasal spray I have been using and the two rounds of antibiodics they put me on in the beginning when they thought it was strep put everything outta of wack. Wow, that's fascinating. I'm glad you posted. Didn't know it was p...

Re: Sleeping without the mask filter eson2
What palerider said. I like the diffuser because it quietens the exhaust and reduces draft, but it doesn't affect health or efficacy of treatment if absent. I've seen the diffusers sold online as a multi-pack if you need them.

Rec. for nasal cushion / Eson 2 advice?
Have been using Eson 2 for nine months, and was satisfied until recently. I clean and replace the parts as recommended. I don't know if the quality of parts has decreased or I'm doing something different, but lately I'm having to tighten the nasal cushion until it leaves marks. That can't be right. ...

Re: Development of bumps inside nose
Hi, vander. In recent weeks, I've been getting bumps that are tender when I touch nostrils. (Almost feels like acne?) Can't say they're white as I can't see them. Have used Eson 2 nasal cushion for nine months without a problem until now. I wash my nasal cushion regularly, so can't imagine what's ha...

Re: adding water detection to future cpap/bi-pap machines
Does a CPAP machine require water? You have to keep it filled? I need to move to a wetter climate because I can't accommodate a humidifier the size of a small car in my bedroom to mimic the Amazon jungle? Doesn't everyone have a whole-house humidifier? Hot tubs in every room? People who live in dry ...

Re: Insomnia is ruining my life, cpap is not helping
Hi Air_. I know the feelings. Not sleeping is bad enough, but add sleep apnea and it's miserable. I've had problems sleeping since childhood, and assumed for decades it was insomnia. My mind simply doesn't shut down, especially when I need to sleep. I tried Rx sleep aids; they simply didn't do anyth...

Former lurker breaks cover
Greetings to fellow mask-heads. I appreciate this board and its users. When I read threads, I read them beginning to end, no matter how many years have passed. Still relevant, and questions, advice, and opinions from actual users are so useful. My insurance works with few DMEs, and I've had no commu...
