Re: Just ordered my DreamWear FFM...
**UPDATE** After a week of waiting I'm finally going to receive my Dreamwear FFM from cpap.com who now has them in stock. Turns out my pulmonologist at the VA is also professor of pulmonology sciences and critical care medicine at CU School of Medicine and only practices on Mondays at the Denver VA ...

Re: High flow oxygen therapy
As a COPDer/CPAPer who uses the exact machine pictured above I'll go out on a limb and guess that saline is being recommend for an acutely ill patient for a myriad of reasons. First, saline has been used for eons as an antibacterial for wound cleansing and treatment. Secondly its cheaper than steril...

Re: CPAP not for me
We all make choices and I make no value-statement about you/yours. I've smoked over 50 years myself while fully understanding the harm it was causing for at least the last 30+ yrs or so. Just started Chantix again this past Wednesday with little hope of success . As my dad used to say; "eat healthy,...

Re: how do i protect hose from a kitten
You could try some of the bitters like apple, lemon etc. Very safe/innocuous, even organic/non GMO for use in, on and around humans & pets of all types. I've even hosed down an African Gray with it to stop him from plucking his own feathers as well as slippers, couch cushions, furniture et al over t...

Just ordered my DreamWear FFM...
Went online just now and found cpap.com is awaiting delivery of their DreamWear FFM's in all sizes and they're available immediately for pre-order so I pulled the trigger on the spot for a medium with return insurance included. Dunno if I'll get it cuz I still don't have a copy of my prescription to...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
Pac- Thank you so much! Your first post was exactly what I was looking for since you know your actual head size based on your helmet needs. I was leaning towards medium headgear anyway due to my 7 1/8 head but your better-informed post put me over the top. Now I'll try to order the mask on an ala ca...

Re: Seeing my VA Pulmonoligist later today (question)...
And therein for me lies the attraction: <<"Now it may not be or do what I think it will do but if it looks the least little bit interesting to me then I will try it when I can....just for grins if nothing else.">> Gotta be an element of frivolity involved in all this. And if this turns out to be the...

Re: Seeing my VA Pulmonoligist later today (question)...
As you can see from my equipment list and additional comments I opted for the upgrade ClimateLine heated hose with O2 inlet which I ordered from CPAP.com and specifically for the machine the VA prescribed for and provided me. My original supply of 12 inlet filters came with the machine and will be r...

Re: Seeing my VA Pulmonoligist later today (question)...
Sorry for abandoning this thread. Didn't know anyone was awaiting a follow up. But since asked I'm happy to report the appointment was a glowing success! Since my first night and even including my initial sleep study prior to that I've taken to CPAP like a duck to water. Felt better immediately and ...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
Since I'm relative low pressure personally (8-10), my primary concern, least at this time is comfort/fit. But hopefully your post will create that awareness in other readers.

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
Of those that have received and/or used this mask I'd like to determine frame size as I've managed to find a couple vendors that have these in-house but no templates or method for gauging frame size so I'm going to go out on a limb and 'guess'. If anyone using this mask has ever purchased a specific...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
Not the correct mask. I'm wanting the DreamWear Full Face new style with the DreamWear air thru-the-frame. Not the Amara tho I think they have, in the past been referred to interchangeably. Specifically, this is the mask I seek: Grrrrr 1st attempt at a link and I failed miserably Here's the link in ...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
I too am anxiously awaiting this mask and have the same questions with regard to head size since I have the template cutout for nose/face. I keep thinking the frame will be related to head/cap size which in my case is 7 1/8 but not willing to risk nigh on $200 for medium or large. Yeah yeah I know I...

Re: Seeing my VA Pulmonoligist later today (question)...
Heheh methinks you have me confused with someone that's computer literate... I'm not! In addition to the cloudy-headedness of OSA/O2 deprivation there's also 18 prescription drugs... per day!
