HELP WITH OSCAR REPORT INTEPRETATION
Dear Members I have been using CPAP for sometime now. My results have been mixed but of late I have been feeling so tired, I mean even my eyes are dry and red and my concentration so poor. I have attached my OSCAR report for last night and will appreciate help with interpreting the same. https://img...

@palerider could you please expound further on your statement. What do you mean by no difference in actual pressures?

OBSTRUCTIVE AND CENTRAL APNEAS
Hi, On 14th August, I had my AHI at 3.62 when at a min pressure of 10.5 and a max of 20.0 . I felt groggy the whole day and my sleep report had a high number of events (Attached). I adjusted the pressure to a min of 14.0 and a max of 20.0 on the 15th August. My report (Also attached) looks terrible ...

Re: PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
Many thanks pugsy for your support as always. Indeed, you guidance and advice have helped me throughout my CPAP therapy. I am not aiming for 0.00 AHI. Not really. It was just a thought since I do experience obstructive apneas even at 11.5cm, I will be able to maybe eliminate them with an increased p...

Re: PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
Hi All, I had my Min pressure at 4.5cm at the start of my therapy however after advice from members whose contributions and advice I sincerely appreciate, I ramped up my pressure each night to 11.5cm which I find it OK for me with regards to my feeling. However, with the increased pressure I can see...

Re: PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
Hi, I have been ramping up my pressure for some time now and ended up with a 9.5 from 4.5. Last night I woke up gasping for breath with some chest pains on the left side and immediately look at my OSCAR report. I have only slept for 23 mins at the time. I didn't see much from the report but there wa...

Re: PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
Thanks once again. I have zoomed in on one of the episodes and definitely looks like the one you posted earlier on. Does that mean this is normal? i was somehow worried about the 2 mins periodic breathing, I mean I just cant imagine not breathing properly for over 2 mins. Regarding the low Min press...

Re: PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
In my last OSCAR report, I notice two episodes of periodic breathing, one lasted for 2 mins and 45 seconds while the other lasted for 2 mins and 36 seconds. Does this imply I have some form of central apnea?

Re: PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
Thanks Pugsy and LSAT for your responses. For last night, I remember waking up a few times though not very often like the previous nights. I think I can comfortably ramp up the pressure to 7 and see what happens. Thanks

PRESSURE SETTINGS AND AHI
Dear All, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2018 and have been struggling since then. By struggling, I mean I have been feeling good some days and not so well in many of the other days. I have reached a point I briefly stopped even using the CPAP machine. However, after much thought and support, I...

Re: AHI
How is your sleep quality? Do you wake up often during the night and/or does it take you much time to get to sleep? The CA/central events you have to ignore...so mentally remove them from your evaluation process. An occasion central is normal and nothing we can do about it and nothing we need to do...
