Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:
The remaining problem is SLEEPYHEAD. My computer is a PC and our operating system is Microsoft Windows 7. I installed the program but when I inserted the SD card into the computer, the information refused to download. Hi wordbabe, Could you please describe the steps you took to import the CPAP data...

Re: Irregular breathing all night
The irregular breathing is arousal breathing...you woke up..may or may not remember it. Obviously wake ups are unwanted. Do you remember a lot of wake ups? Do you take any medications...if so, what? I only remember waking up during the two gaps in the data at about 3:00 and 6:30, no memories of any...

Irregular breathing all night
My breathing at night looks to be very irregular -- while I'll sometimes have periods of regular breaths, most of the graph shows breaths that constantly change in intensity, duration, and rhythm. My pulse rate varies quite a bit as well: my resting BPM while awake is about 68, while in my few segme...

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
I've not tried the armodafinil, but it's supposed to have an even longer half-life than regular modafinil. I get a good 12 hrs boost from it, and I've heard the armodafinil can last as long as 14-16 hrs with some people. I would definitely recommend taking it as soon as you wake up until you know h...

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
Isaac, Modafanil has helped me a great deal. [...] Modafinil has been a HUGE help in dealing with the fatigue, even after being on APAP for almost a month. [...] Thanks both of you for sharing your experiences, I'll be trying armodafinil (a modafinil variant) in a few days. Hoping I get good result...

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
xpap is a good generic name cpap is specific to well ... a cpap how hard it it to say bipap or avap or ASV or whatever is actually being used but if so then just use xpap I have difficulty understanding why this is such a large issue to you, especially considering your laid-back writing style. CPAP...

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
One week later and my average AHI is down to 1.71! Thanks everyone for the advice, I can tell an improvement in my asthma and sleep quality. I still feel fatigued though, either it'll take time for CPAP to help or something else is the cause. Also no matter how good my therapy got I just felt fatigu...

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
The pressure increase improved my AHI quite a bit! 1.75 last night, with 10 clear airways, 3 hypopneas, and one obstructive. Hopefully the centrals go away after I get used to the higher pressure.
I still feel about the same level of fatigue, but maybe that will improve with time.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I'm going to go ahead and try a minimum pressure of 10 tonight and see if it changes anything.

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
Once or twice a night isn't an inordinate number of wake ups. Some wake ups are normal anyway. I was just wondering if you had an inordinate number of wake ups and if you did that might explain some of the fatigue. Obviously some meds have fatigue as a side effect also. Is it fatigue you are feelin...

Re: Low AHI but still fatigued
I think a little more minimum pressure is in order to try to reduce those hyponeas and reduce the RERAs, FLs and snores a bit more. Will it mean you won't feel fatigued? Don't know but it's worth trying. Thanks for the advice, I'll try increasing the minimum and see if it helps. Couple of questions...

Low AHI but still fatigued
Hello, I've been using CPAP for a month now, while I can tell an improvement in my asthma upon waking I still feel very fatigued every day. My latest week's average AHI is 4.16: 0.86 obstructive, 2.30 hypopnea, and 1.00 Clear Airway. Some background: A little over a year ago I started having daytime...
