Re: bleep help, please?

Many thanks to all of you who took the time to offer suggestions. I have acquired the recommended hose holder and ordered more ports from the sponsor of this website, whose cost in the end was somehow better than listed on the website. I'm still waiting to get in the Aeroflow Sleep system to be able...

Re: bleep help, please?

Thank you all so much for your quick, thoughtful, and detailed responses! I was able to incorporate your suggestions that same evening, and thus save the night's sleep quality. FWIW, where I think I went astray was with the words 'parallel' and 'perpendicular'. I assumed the perpendicularity (?!) wa...

bleep help, please?

The Bleep seems to hold great promise, and on a couple of nights, I've gotten it to work well. I have a couple of questions about it: 1) I am experiencing a sore, horizontal line on my upper lip. I am guessing that the couple of very small projections somewhere around the top edge of the release tab...

advice for leaks with Dreamwear Full face mask?

I'd like advice re: leaks w/ Dreamwear FFmask. I'm using Resmed Autoset for Her. Min pressure 9.5; max 13.5 I've read previous posts on the topic but would appreciate any additional info I could get on this issue. With nasal masks, despite a chinstrap, I'm experiencing a very dry mouth due to leaks ...

Re: CPAP and Pregnacy

1000 apologies here if I have misread the question. (health issues on my own plate so doing my best...) But if there is a question of sleep apnea and pregnancy, i can tell you that there is ALSO a connection between preeclampsia and pregnancy. Do a google search. I myself probably had sleep apnea fo...

Re: Mouth breathing no matter what, desperate

I see that you do not like the tape idea. I really abhorred and avoided it, too, but in desperation tried the somnifix sleep strips. The reason I relented is because they claim you can release the strips by opening your mouth (forcefully). This does seem to be true. While I still wish I did not have...

Re: Phillips Respironics Wisp Nasal Cushion

For me, the ResMed N20 was problematic, while the Wisp eliminates the same problems. I don't know if the new DreamWisp would be an option for you--it comes in 4 distinct sizes, I believe. With the ResMed N20, the headgear seemed to slip and slide and stretch out quickly. I also experienced a lot of ...

tooth and sinus pain?

I have used CPAP successfully, with a nasal mask. I switched to the Dreamwear Gel, and began experiencing severe upper tooth and sinus pain. Endodontists assured me my teeth were fine, and the ENTs felt the pain was a 'side-effect' of the Cpap treatment. Switching back to a nasal mask (wisp) elimina...

DreamWisp--noisy?

I have used the Dreamwear Gel mask in the past, but I found it very noisy. (Somehow I felt I could hear the air whooshing past in the tubes near my ears, but who knows what the actual source of the noise was.) I believe the pressure I use is between 12 and 13. Has anyone noticed any out-of-the-ordin...

Re: Sleepyhead Plots disabled

That happened to me, too, and I tried everything, to almost no avail. Ultimately, what worked in the end was something related to 'Broken GL'. If you do a search with that term, you will find the steps to accomplish the solution, if that's your problem. (I know it was last September when it happened...

Re: Burping Up Food. Throat Closing Up. HELP/ADVICE?

I forgot to mention a couple of tips which may possibly help. My GI doctor recommended elevating the head of my bed, which I accomplished with some wood blocks, and not eating or drinking anything four hours (believe that was the number) before bed--and also, never recline within four hours after ea...

Re: Chin strap advice please

I am in this same boat, female with fine hair, wanting narrow, unobtrusive strap, etc. Finding the right one has been a long process for me. I suspect it really depends on the shape of your head. I have tried the ruby red, which works only reasonably well, but leaves deep, noticeable dents quite far...

Re: Burping Up Food. Throat Closing Up. HELP/ADVICE?

I don't want to muddy the waters here or lead you astray, but I have had a similar issue so I'll relay my experience, FWIW. I had never had symptoms of Gerd or reflux, and one night I woke suddenly as I felt my throat and mouth rapidly filling with a hot nasty liquid. (sorry for TMI). As I see a hig...

Re: How was your expereince with either the N20, Wisp or both?

I have experience with both. I would be the first to say that one man's trash is another man's treasure, but for me, the Wisp is far superior, with advantages as follows: The wisp does not leak for me, while the N20 leaked a lot. I can easily sleep on my side and flip back and forth with no problem....
