Re: OT - thyroid meds
There is a medical facility in Tukwila that has resources on their website. Google "Tahoma Clinic", and there should be options for 'Health Talks', papers, and whatnot that you can browse and read. They are also a place where you can order your own lab tests (the lab is adjacent to the medical offic...

Re: Anyone do better with lower pressure?
Speaking of limited sunlight, part of sleep hygiene for those of us in the Pacific Northwest includes the use of bright lighting to battle SAD (Seasonal Affected Disorder). It is pretty common to be dragging during the dark days of winter and maybe this is one of the factors coming into play, at lea...

Ajack, he (she?) is saying that they're "not allowed" to change it while on trial. You are both in Australia? Is there something about the medical system in Australia that would prevent Danlo from getting a machine if he goes against her orders?

From what you've described of his night, I would bet that the device wasn't able to stay in position and it probably isn't an accurate reading... especially since his AHI was so low.Janknitz wrote: But 85% O2???? Why??? That worries me.

My husband has been to that supplier in person to pick up stuff for me. The website description says that those filters are ResMed brand. I'm sure you could just call them on the phone to ask, if you'd like the extra reassurance before ordering.

Re: Quick update then gone again
Looks like your PCP is spot on for recommending behavioral therapy: Proper sleep hygiene is the most important behavioral change that must be implemented. This includes setting a regular sleeping schedule, having a sleeping environment that is well suited to quality sleep, a comfortable bed and pill...

What Julie said just reminded me...
Be sure to put your contact info inside of the bag, and also maybe tie a colorful something-er-other on the handle so it isn't easily mistaken for a similar-looking bag. You don't want someone walking off with your machine by accident.

I would take it. Just think how you felt before treatment - would you want to spoil your trip by feeling bad?

Good luck! I hope you like it as much as I do. Did you see the fitting guide? It is important to measure from the spot where the bridge of your nose bends, to the bend between your lower lip and chin. My DME 'fitted me' with a Small... which went from mid-nose to the bend between lip and chin. Needl...

Re: FFM Suggestions,....
Just so that you know, not all FFM's with a forehead piece even touch the forehead. The F&P SimPlus is tightened on the bottom; the top strap is only adjusted enough to position the bar - NOT hold it against your skin (mine is a good inch or so away from my head). I don't even feel any pressure agai...

Lol! You guys crack me up.
Someone pm'd me and now I know that the person I was asking about is okay, so I'm going to delete the question as perhaps it might upset her.
