Vertigo (dizziness)
I have been experiencing positional vertigo (dizziness when head is in certain positions) the past few days and am wondering if the APAP is at least exacerbating the condition. It seems to start at night after I have been sleeping. Could the air pressure from the APAP be forcing debris into the ear ...

Remstar 1017453 w/cflex
Is this a good choice for Autopap? Does it have the card (?) that records sleep patterns that you can read on a home computer?
Thanks alot.

Respironics "Virtuoso" — apap recommendations plea
I am going to be switching from an apap to an auto pap machine, and the distributor I have been using offers the Respironics "Virtuoso" with C-flex. Is this model a good one? Is there a consensus on which models are the best? Apparently, my insurance will pay 100 percent.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I guess it is a little tricky when you start adding chemicals to your air supply.
Thanks.

CPAP used to treat respiratory flu?
Has anyone tried using CPAP to treat flu/ viruses? I tried sprinkling salt in humidifier container on my Remstar. Not sure if it helped or not. Am also wondering if Vick's Vap-o-rub coul b e used for a short treatment as well? It would seem that the machine could bake a doable kind of respirotory th...

9 weeks on CPAP - sleepiness question
Although I believe I am experiencing deeper sleep at night, I am sleepy during the day. The sleepiness seems to be related to using the cpap . Last night I had a pretty full night of sleep, but this afternoon, I took a two-hour nap after work. I have never been a daytime napper. I am wondering if my...

Guys speak out
OK, I'll take the bait. I'm a guy who doesn't mind expressing my feelings. It gets me in trouble sometimes, however. In fact, I have been trying to come to terms with my inner lesbian. Not sure if or when I will be "coming out."

Part 2: Which improvement has been the GREATEST?
This poll is directed mostly to people who have been using CPAP for a while now, but newbies can take it too.

Hey, I can relate. But staring at the walls has become a way of life for me.
The cpap machine isn't that bad. I picked mine up at the Lonely Guy Store and use it as a French kiss device. It's a great way to drift off to dreamland!

Mikesus: That has occurred to me. I have posted here before regarding the trapped air sensation I experience in my throat. I mentioned the trapped air sensation to the tech/therapist — per suggestions made on this board about changing air presure or going to an APAP — and she said to give it a few m...

Me chest hurts
Last night, I noticed that I get slight chest pain in the middle of my chest every once in awhile that last a second or two. Am wondering if it is related to the CPAP use, or from sleeping on my back? I don't want to get alarmed about this just yet, but would like to know if anyone else has had simi...

Me back hurts
For the first time ever, I am sleeping on my back since beginning the cpap five weeks ago. Now I am experiencing pain in the middle, about half way down my back. It goes away soon after I get up in the morning. Is it the bed or is it me? Any suggestions on what to do?

Head gear
I have not washed the straps with velcro that attach to the mask yet. Is that what you mean by "head gear" and do you wash that every day?

Do you wash your mask/hose EVERY day?
I have been using CPAP for about five weeks and I wash my components every other day with a tiny amount of dish soap in warm water. Is that OK?
