CPAP and memory issues
This is for people who have memory issues, or loved ones who use CPAP and have memory issues. A few weeks ago, I put my mask on and went to sleep, but apparently didn't have the machine on. Around 4 am, I woke up to water entering my mask (not just gurgling). The ResMed AirSense 10 that I use has a ...

Re: Dry mouth
I use a room humidifier in addition to the built-in humidifier on the machine.
Some mornings, I have to open my mouth fully like a fish to start to try to get it back to normal. But with both the CPAP and room humidifier on, that's rare.
I'd suggest getting tested for Sjogren's too.

Re: Hiatus from CPAP and woes
Thank you all so much for reading my long story and such great feedback. It is sad, but I have an update. The "large black circle" was found to be a retinal tear (of course the retinal specialist a week ago said that "a grey curtain dropping over my vision" was the only sign to be worried about, tha...

Hiatus from CPAP and woes
I'm pretty resolved to using CPAP for the rest of my life, or until I lose 75 lbs. The latter isn't happening soon. But I really feel I need to take a break, hopefully to return. Here are the reasons why, and you guys with more experience can let me know if I am bellyaching or up the wrong tree: 1) ...

Re: CPAP just isn't working. Need advice
6 hours per night is not enough to feel better? I'm averaging like 4 hours, maybe 4.5, and I was told I was doing great! I do feel like crap still, and well, I've got a lot of new issues that may be coincidental. I am not sleeping more than 6 hours per night since I first starting having sleep issue...

Re: Are there no moderators here?
Thank you for tuning me into the "foe" option. I am new to CPAP, 6 weeks, and although I've really appreciated reading this forum (and now even have a registered account!), I am really intimidated by folks whose answer to any and every CPAP issue is "you're looking for an excuse to quit CPAP".

Re: CPAP & Eye Vitreous Detachment, Related?
Sadly, I'll be posting to my own thread about my CPAP journey, and yes, I am really worried that my vitreous detachment is related to my CPAP. I have another appointment with a retinal specialist, but they want me to go to even more of a retinal specialist, which I probably will do. Note I've change...
