Re: Fatigue, Brain Fog, & Recovery
Could sleep deprivation have anything to do with it? I found this link that talks about how hard it actually is to make up lost sleep. https://www.seventhgeneration.com/enhancing-health/cost-sleep-debt-can-you-recover 100%. My apnea is mild to moderate, but it disproportionately affects REM, so my ...

Re: Fatigue, Brain Fog, & Recovery
Thanks ALL! My doctor originally examined me for CFS / ME, and felt I didn't fit the bill. I don't become overly fatigued from the gym or work, it's more that I wake up without feeling refreshed. I noticed myself struggling with topics and unable to concentrate at a meaningful level. Occasionally. I...

Re: Fatigue, Brain Fog, & Recovery
I don't see any of those items on my blood tests. I made an appointment with my sleep doc/pulmonologist, but I don't think he is all that great. Wondering if besides bloodwork, there are any tests that would be ordered by a neurologist. I've been on treatment since March, but probably only had it di...

Re: Fatigue, Brain Fog, & Recovery
Thanks Nicholas, this is all very helpful. Did you put together this regiment with the help of a doctor or through your own research? I've always been able to get to the gym and get exercise in, however, I've noticed that my body is not progressing commensurate with my workout partner. I currently d...

Re: Fatigue, Brain Fog, & Recovery
Hello All, I've been using my CPAP with 100% compliance and low AHI each evening. I've begun feeling better but I am still experiencing a bit of brain fog and my mind doesn't seem to be functioning as sharp as it once did. I am curious if anyone has ever made an appointment with a neurologist to eva...

Re: Chinstrap failure
My solution was to wrap an ace bandage around my chin and over the back of my head. It doesn't always stay in place (depends on your sleep position and the tightness), but it's worked for me very well. My pressure no longer varies as much and my AHI has stayed under 1.0, usually around .2. I noticed...

Re: Newbie Needing Help w/ Sleepyhead ?
I've been stringing together a few nights of very low AHI and minimal leaks. Happy with my progress.

Another good night, best night as far as leaks go. I continue to use the ace bandage to ensure my mouth is closed tight, then have just been trying to sleep as much as possible. Popped out of bed this AM. Need to keep this going consistently.
Thanks for all your help.

Re: Forgot CPAP Machine - What do you do?
haha, thanks for all of the replies. Not an issue with trust. I've been seeing someone, we live in different parts of the city. We had tickets to see a show last night, I didn't want to bring the CPAP machine with me to work and to dinner / show. We ended up heading back to her apartment, as she had...

Re: Forgot CPAP Machine - What do you do?
My question is there are any habits that help when no cpap machine is available. Perhaps a breathe right strip and mouthguard that you can leave at work. I am usually tired the next day without cpap but i rarely do it. But it forces me to head home and be a little less flexible than I would like. Ju...

Re: Forgot CPAP Machine - What do you do?
How long have you been using CPAP? How severe was your apnea according to your original sleep test? What is your subjective judgment of how severe your sleep apnea is now? expectantly Using for 6 months or so. Original sleep study was mild, but severe during REM or sleeping on my back. It's gotten ...

Forgot CPAP Machine - What do you do?
I've had a few instances where I've ended up staying over at a friend's house expectantly without my CPAP machine. If this happens to you, what do you do? I know it's likely you will have to just deal with it, but any other adjustments that help you? I know my apnea is worse when I sleep on my back,...
