Re: teeth are sensitive
I have the same problem with teeth pain. I did not have the problem with my original FFM but, when I got the Swift nasal pillow, the tooth pain (top front) started. I also notice while flossing my teeth that those teeth are spaced out more than they had been. I also have the problem of my nose hurti...

Re: AHI creeping up
Ok, I have new information. Sorry I haven't posted for a while but I've been trying to figure this out. When I posted this, it was shortly after Hurricane Harvey came into my area. I take quite a few prescription drugs and I was about out of them and I way overdid it on helping with recovery efforts...

Re: noise when breathing in cpap
I have an Intellipap and it is VERY quiet. Sometimes I wake up at night and think it has turned off. The only loud noises I have heard is when I had a mask that farted. It made all kinds of strange sounds, including squeaks. I also had my vocal chords make sound as the air passed over them (1 time, ...

Re: Sleeping better but waking up too early
I've been doing therapy for 2 1/2 months. Although I've had many problems, the first day and every day since, I wake up when it gets light outside. This is extremely unusual for me. Before therapy, I had been sleeping for 10 - 18 hours almost every night. Since therapy, I haven't slept past 8 hours ...

Re: Feel better but weight gain for newbie
Sleeping Ugly, I ran across reports like that when I was doing my research on weight gain. Some people who gained overnight, like you describe, would experiment with going off cpap and the weight would just drop off. It seems as if it is water weight, though why cpap would cause water weight nobody...

Re: AHI creeping up
Thanks, I'll try it tonight.
Now I think I have a pretty good baseline measurement for comparison.
Again, thank you for all your help.

Re: AHI creeping up
How come you have this bilevel machine? Do you know what your original diagnosis without any machine was? How long have you been using this machine? That was my prescription and this was the only bi-level machine I could afford (self-pay), though if I had to do it over again, I'd probably come up w...

Re: AHI creeping up
How come such a small tight range on your settings? Is it fixed or auto adjusting? That is the prescription. Fixed. Have you ever tried more EPAP and more IPAP? If so...what were the results? No. I'm kind of hit or miss on getting the stats each day so I've been reluctant to make changes. That, and...

Re: Starting Journey Before Sleep Study
My main problem is that I have no health insurance, I will be getting it in about 2 months. I know having no health insurance in the US is horrible, but I was in a tough situation and could not buy it at the first half of the year. Finally a question on this forum that I can give advice on: Under t...

AHI creeping up
I got a new mask about a month ago and at first, things were going very well. This mask never leaks (the machine reported high leak flow on the old one every night). I've noticed that, since performing some pretty demanding tasks in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, I started retaining water and pu...

I just put my Smart Code into cpap.com and got a report that din't tell much. Same code over the last four days but all it shows is 97% adherence. 7.5 hours last night. Re: Weight Gain directly after starting using CPAP
I have a similar problem. I'm a little over two months in (I feel great, by the way). I have put on about 15 pounds. In my case, it seems to be water retention, which I think is probably dangerous. The doctor prescribed "water pills" which I will start tomorrow morning. My daughter noticed that my a...
