Could it be that red bacteria?

It is something that grows in moist areas. Can be difficult to remove and from what I have read, is generally considered to be harmless.

If it is, Vinegar/water or Hydrogen Peroxide should be able to remove it until the next time.

Have you watched the Australian guy's videos. He has one about leaks on 11 models. Not from the tub but the hose connection.

If you are grinding your teeth at night, you should see your dentist. Your teeth might be out of alignment (maybe some recent dental work?).
