Re: Orange stuff in hose and mouth after use

Could it be that red bacteria?

It is something that grows in moist areas. Can be difficult to remove and from what I have read, is generally considered to be harmless.

If it is, Vinegar/water or Hydrogen Peroxide should be able to remove it until the next time.

Have you watched the Australian guy's videos. He has one about leaks on 11 models. Not from the tub but the hose connection.

Re: Nasal Irrigation

It's good and recommended by my doctor for when I have a cold. The distilled water is a thing because of the possibility of something in the water that is horrible and can enter the brain through the nasal passage. Can't remember all the details. Occasionally one hears of a swimmer getting whatever ...

Re: PyApnea v0.0.4 - Apnea to Datascience

Just curious...if this is for researchers, of what interest is this to users?

Oscar is a free software developed by users. It appears you intend to commercialize your product. Will there be any sharing of revenue back to the Oscar team?

Re: Alaxo soft palate stent review

I am curious. You have been on the board for 4ish years and now indicate you have not been satisfactorily treated by your machine. Why have you not requested members assistance to dial in your treatment more successfully.

There is no guarantee they can fix you, but perhaps they could.

Re: Lower AHI Without Dental Guard?

How much worse? 30 ahi vs 0 ahi or 2.3 vs 2.2?
Was it an off the counter type of appliance or a custom made appliance made by a dental professional?

One night vs a month?

Re: Cat has destroyed my hoses!

My previous cat bit the hose, my new cat bites the electrical wires. She has PICA and loves plastic. They both bit machine parts to wake me up. It helps to know why they are doing it. I loosley wrapped a silk scarf around the hose and secured it with a couple of elastic bands. If they try biting it ...

Re: Is Your CPAP Store Canada legit?

I don't know if you have solved your issue yet, but in case you haven't. I took a look at their website. It looks like it is a walk in store that has decided to offer products online. I haven't dealt with them. They are in London Ontario. If you use Google maps, you should be able to see their store...

Re: After 5+ years of CPAP use, my subconscious seems to be fighting it

If you are grinding your teeth at night, you should see your dentist. Your teeth might be out of alignment (maybe some recent dental work?). Your dentist can make a night guard to protect the teeth, stop the noise, etc. I usually pay about $3-4 hundred for a device CAD. They last a long time, years....

Re: mouth guards

Couple of thoughts/suggestions to try: IIRC, the correct mouth position is lips together, teeth apart. Also, from my experience, a dental appliance doesn't stop grinding, just inserts a layer between the teeth to protect the surfaces from the grinding. The cheap off-the-shelf appliances might work f...

Re: Dreamstation 2

I'm on the fence. I've had a PR System One 60 Series since July 2015, so I've been eligible for a new machine since last July but it's working fine and I didn't want to upgrade right before new machines release and have to look at all the new things they can do and feel left out. I could upgrade to...

Re: Dementia & Memory Problems

A good book to read is "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker. It's an easy but informative read From what I have read, sleep apnea can contribute a lot of the problems your wife is experiencing. Deep and REM sleep are missed when a person is waking constantly throughout the night. These forms of sleep ar...
