Re: Using battery with my cpap on plane trip
I bought a Medistrom about 5 years ago for a flight to Dublin. Wish I hadn't. It's very heavy and wasn't cheap. Some people have had luck getting seated close to an outlet, depending on the layout of the plane. Can't hurt to ask You're not going to sleep well anyway. Unless it it's a red eye flight,...

Re: Airsense 11: power draw with humidifier and heated tube off?
ResMed support for the 11 hasn't been good..
The 10 used a 90 watt power supply vs 65 watt for the 11 which should use less power. Googling the average watt usage for each yielded only about 3 watts less for the 11.. Whatever worked for your 10 should work for the 11.

Re: Extension cords
I use this for travel with my Airsense 11 and my Airmini. Obviously wouldn't work with a generator but it's quite compact and give me about 5 1/2 ' extra reach plus provides USB charging ports and extra outlets. Comes in handy when you've got a bunch of people trying to charge devices and a shortage...

Re: Airsense 10 portable battery/power source help!
Define "portable"
A 35 AH 12 volt battery and the ResMed converter are the best solution but it's not back packing weight. It'll need to be recharged after a few days but it lasts longer than other solutions. A bigger 12 v battery will last even longer

After market replacement for ResMed P10 headgear/strap?
Sorry if this has been covered but any search I try gives thousands of results. I'm seeking a cheaper option for what is essentially an elastic strap with a couple of holes. $28 is insane. Several are available online but reviews indicate they run small and I have a big melon of a head. Any recommen...

Re: CPAP Travel Tips?
FYI, the CPAP carryon exclusion is a U.S. thing. I was able to get a waiver from Ryanair in the U K. but that was an exception and a PITA. Usually it was my personal item. Also, all my ResMeds work anywhere in the world if you have a plug adapter. The power brick does the power voltage conversion. A...

Re: Resmed airsense 11 odor?
The "new car" smell in my 11 went away with the the first sink washing a week into using it. BTW, remember to wash the air inlet valve from inside also. You washed the machine in the sink :?: :?: Uh, no.. mask, cushions, tube and air inlet in the sink for a quick soak and a rinse took the odor out ...

Re: CPAP while in hospital for unrelated illness
Take your CPAP with you. I was admitted through the ER for a pulmonary embolism some time back and had my wife fetch my CPAP. They added a "Christmas tree" valve to allow the oxygen feed I was on to be integrated with my CPAP.

Re: cleaning the 11, I didn't realize until I watched a video that the air vent that the hose attaches to is removable and should be washed weekly. Just remove the tank and there's a little clip to release it and pull it out. Did have to do that with the 10.

Re: AirMini cleaning and maintennce
The air filter on mine requires changing g much more often than my 10, presumably because it's so much smaller. Pretty much after every trip.

7th Generation Free and Clear dishwashing liquid for mask, hose and tank. Soak at least 20 minutes and rinse in hot water once a week. Never had a problem.
