Re: Hope for All Newbies
Melikou 1 - you're welcome. You have a ways to go but please don't give up. When someone told me early on that it could take a while (a year!) I didn't actually hear them. Now I understand. Also, the only other "secret" I can tell you is that it helps to walk every day for 30 minutes at a good pace....

Hope for All Newbies
I was diagnosed 13 months ago with Severe S.A. and charting at 73 events per minute. I have not the words to tell you how bad I had been feeling (for years) and it was only through suggestion of my doctor after years of getting perfect blood work, etc. to get tested for Sleep Apnea. Long story short...

Re: Newbie and all the anxiety
I have been on CPAP for a month (Dream Machine) and honestly, I feel like it is saving my life. I hope you feel the same after a couple of nights using it. Adapted pretty quickly to the nose pillows and love the mobility of Dream Machine mask. After only a couple of weeks, I actually started to look...

Re: New here. Used CPAP for first time last night.
I have the same machine you have and have been on it for almost one month. I have no problem with the machine and don't mind using it. Feeling better all the time. Unfortunately, I received little or no training on how to get information for myself from this machine. Which setting do you go to to fi...

Question re B/P dropping
I have been on CPAP for almost one month. Been on B/P meds for 10 plus years and have always had pretty high pressure - 140/95 was normal for me, with the meds! I have been taking my pressure since using CPAP every night and somewhat concerned about the rapid drop. This afternoon it was 124/69. Yest...

Re: Did you feel instantly better?
Thanks for the replies. Again, I'm just at the 3 week mark. I have energy when I wake up and I think it lasts for several hours, but mid-afternoon I am still hitting the wall. And I don't really understand what "sleep debt" actually means. I believe I have had sleep apnea for many years -- so does t...

Re: Did you feel instantly better?
Was just diagnosed and on CPAP for 3 weeks. Found this forum and I have to thank all those people who have posted. Believe me, I read these posts over every night and it gives me strength to go put on the mask and keep at this. Feeling a little better. Guess I thought I would be "cured" immediately ...
