Yep, that was the heat shrink tubing . I guess I should've taken another pic after the job was completed, but you got the idea.

Re: Fix: Respironics System One (50 series) Humidifier Problems
Thanks so much for this info. I recently open up my machine and saw the exact burnt connector. I was going to send it off to a repair shop but I'm willing to give this fix a try. I ended up cutting off the previous connector, tinning the wire and corresponding connector pin, soldering the wire and p...

Re: Too much hot air
Sorry for the confusion in my writing. I used a new water tank and tubing last night. I woke up feeling fine this morning. No hot air and consumed about a half tank of water. The blower in my unit seems to make noise as it's not as quiet as it was when new. You may have helped determine a possible c...

My problem now is that I've been waking up with a very sore throat and the air being delivered seems so warm, almost hot, even though there's pl...

Re: warm air leakage
Julie, I'm pretty sure I'm not mouth breathing. Otherwise why would my sinuses and throat be so dry? It's also warm air. I'm wondering if the elbow seal is supposed to be pushed up so that it is flush against the humidifier lid or is it supposed to be positioned onto the fitting so that it's just ba...

warm air leakage
I've been using a PR System One for several years. However recently I've been experiencing waking up in the middle of the night with dryness. Although my humidifier system works because I can feel the tank warm , I'm wondering if the elbow seal is leaking. It's as though warm air is getting into the...
