Re: Severe Sleep Apnea
you may have overconstrained the problem there may be no comfortable mask for you The forum troll is at it again. If you can lie your face on its side, plenty of nasal masks and pillows work for side sleepers, such as what I mentioned. Some full face masks will also work. Sent from my iPhone using ...

Re: Severe Sleep Apnea
Pugsy I am not sure if my insurance company will allow me to to try different masks before the doctor tells me what mask to get. moosie1 Your doctor won't tell you what mask to get. Your DME might have demos to let you try on. Your insurance company won't pay for more than one mask per X months (de...

Re: Severe Sleep Apnea
I have been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. What is the most comfortable mask to wear with this diagnosis. I am also a stomach sleeper and am claustrophobic. Will your DME let you try on demo masks? I recommend trying the Philips Dreamwear (what I use), Airfit P20, Swift Nano, and Swift FX. Good...

Yes. If you're sleeping over the legal limit your machine will shut down.tavdev wrote:does cpap detect blood alcohol level

Re: How the hell is this going to work?
So, I'm a fifteen year old girl, and I've had my CPAP for about three days. I've started to think about it all, and I thought to myself 'how the hell is this going to work?' I'm turning 16 in about ten days, and I wanted a few of my friends to sleep over, but now I have a CPAP. What if they think i...

Re: Tried nasal mask, back to nasal pillows
In my continuing quest for something to help me keep the mask on longer, I switched from nasal pillow masks to a nasal mask, Airfit N20. I actually kind of liked the nasal mask because I just put it on and didn't have to get the pillows situated just so in my nose. The first couple of nights went w...

Re: 6 weeks in, no improvement whatsoever, losing all hope.
I use the airfit p10 along with a chin strap to keep my mouth closed. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. I started the same time as you with CPAP and have had an easier time, but I was also fortunate enough to find the right mask. Have you tried other masks besides the P10? I know many peopl...

Re: Next step - nasal mask; side sleeper??
I strongly encourage you to try the "love child" of the Resmed Airfit N10 and the Respironics Wisp = the Resmed Airfit N20 : http://cpapreviews.org/resmed-airfit-n20-nasal-mask-preview/ I started with the N10, then tried the Wisp, and now I'm totally sold on the N20. Resmed listened to many suggest...

Using Airsense S10 to dry the hose
Hi, Sometimes when I wash my hose and mask in the morning, they aren't quite dry at night. One thing I can do is just run warm air through the CPAP to quickly dry them, which others do. My question is this. If I leave it running for awhile, like 30 minutes, will it screw up my stats? Will it show I ...

Re: Claustrophobic Having a Hard Time
Hey all I'm sorry if this seems like a big moan but I am having real problems with my CPAP and my mask along with my diagnosis of Sleep Apnea. I am a 28 year old male, with two kids, and a wife. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, stopping breathing almost 50 times an hour, I feel so bad every...

Help with Airfit P10 Nasal pillows
Hi, I've only been on Cpap for two weeks and already notice a difference! I wear the Dreamwear mask and don't like how it leaks a little and I lose half the airflow when I sleep on my side. Otherwise it's great. I bought the Airfit P10 on Amazon after reading about it in forums. However, I can't get...
