New ResMed AirSense 10 - SD Card & OSCAR

So, I finally got my replacement CPAP today! First, thank-god it was the AS 10 AutoSet I was sent as a replacement and not the 11, as I have a ton of supplies for the 10. And...I'm not too fond of the new AS 11 using the same turbine fan motor as the AirMini and the longevity problems of that device...

Re: ResMed AS10 Std vs Dishwasher Safe Humidifier Tank

What tank is what?? I just got my new CPAP machine - A nice new shiny ResMed AirSense 10 w/0 hours on it!! Woo Hoo!! Anyways, the new machine did not come with an SD card (which I expected) and a newer flavor of water tank with a round heating plate bottom. Both said "Distilled Water Only" on...

Re: Any reason I might want to upgrade to Autoset 11?

One thing I find interesting is the AirSense 11 is using the same motor (internal turbine) as the AirMini! The AirMini motor is louder than the AirSense 10 motor so ResMed has to pack more sound abetment foam into the AirSense 11 case to quiet the motor noise! I'm not too keen on the...

Re: Any reason I might want to upgrade to Autoset 11?

Just an FYI the rated noise is pretty much the same. 11 rated 27 dBA and S10 rated 26.6 dBA per the ResMed website… …Makes the unit much smaller for travel. I'm guessing it is a better travel machine. The AirSense 11 is literally an AirMini, with additional algorithms, in a larger case than a AirMi...

Re: FS: ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset

Wow! Almost 5 years of use!

With the AS 11, you might want to keep your AS10 as a backup to your backup!

The AS11 is basically an AirMini with additional algorithms.

If the longevity of the AirMini is any indication, the AS11's might be having issues down the road!

Good Luck with your sale!

Re: CHRALS hose lift model S12

I wonder if @CHRALS would provide samples for some of us to review and provide feedback/Amazon reviews?? I would be interested in trying one...but I'm not sure I'm ready to hand out $50 for it. The Bleep guy (Stuart) had some sort of hanger contraption he recommended... YouTube Link - https://youtu....

Re: Any reason I might want to upgrade to Autoset 11?

Another con I've heard about, is the hose coming straight out the back and not being able to swivel like the AirSense 10. To me, that simple design change is a serious flaw that some will find mildly annoying. They (ResMed) go out of their way to make the machine significantly (30% I believe) smalle...

Re: NO CPAP machines available at all!

Sounds like your doc has a " arrangement " with the dme he sent you too. Those " arrangements " usually involve a paid week long trip to Hawaii for the good ole' doc and his family! It's done every day...Drug Company perks are probably better than what a DME can provide a doc and his family!

You have options besides all this whining.
Yes...there are options but I'm reminded of an old saying and it is very appropriate to some users here!

Re: Is my air res med website down today or is it

Seems that both the My Air website and the phone ap are inop this morn. My MyAir app has not updated in 3 days. At first, I figured it was the 1st of March and therefore the CDMA carrier (whomever that is on my machine) finally dropped support for CDMA and my CPAP was no longer communicating with t...

Re: Just had sleep study and have questions

Used to be two nights in the sleep lab were routine, 1st night to diagnose then 2nd night to dial in a therapeutic pressure. Maybe the guy you spoke of wasn't originally scheduled for a split study but things changed once he got started. We were both in the military at the time so I believe they us...

Re: NO CPAP machines available at all!

Does anyone know why this shortage exists? I am curious. Another large manufacturer of CPAP machines, last June, recalled over 4,000,000 of their machines (Philips Branded CPAP's) due to foam in the machine that breaks down over time and can be ingested deep into your lungs!!!! So, world-wi...
