Re: Full face masks: with and without the forehead part
I always thought the forehead piece was geared for comfort for those that require higher end pressures for their therapy. That's just a guess, but I figure it would give a little leverage to keep the chin region tighter and less prone to leaks maybe.

Re: Pressure Setting Sleepyhead Help Needed
Isn't the APAP minimum pressure already at 12 though, or did they change it initially and want to readjust? Yep..you are right and I am colored red. My bad. I didn't enlarge to read the numbers well enough and somewhere 7 cm minimum got stuck in my mind probably from what he said he used first. Nev...

Re: Pressure Setting Sleepyhead Help Needed
I am super new to this as well, but try sneaking your low end pressure above 12 and your higher pressure to like 16 or 17. Actually going from a 7 minimum to above 12 minimum is probably way overkill in terms of pressures Isn't the APAP minimum pressure already at 12 though, or did they change it i...

Re: Pressure Setting Sleepyhead Help Needed
I was told by a veteran to pin flow rate, pressure, events, and leak rate to my sleepyhead data. It makes it easier for others to observe. I recently moved my lower end pressure up. It doesn't appear that your low end pressure actually reached 11 anyways, and its lowest point was 12. I am super new ...

Re: Should I make any adjustments?
I didn't use an alarm this morning. I went to bed at 10:30, woke at 3:30, then I fell asleep until 6ish, which is my normal schedule during the work week. Sat I woke up without grogginess, and I had plenty of energy despite an average night of sleep. Today was weird though, I slept pretty darn good;...

Should I make any adjustments?
Hey all, My sleep has vastly improved, but I want to know if my flow rate graph looks normal, or if I should adjust my higher end pressure. I feel pretty good, and last night I only woke up once in the middle of the night. My AHI always doubles or triples when I sleep well (deeply), and I realize th...

Re: Newbie advice -Resmed AirSense10 autoset
I have the same unit as you. I love my machine... finally. I had depression from the realization of having to use the machine at 28, and having to alter my life around the therapy. My sleep was crap, I felt like crap, and I didn't sleep that much. I hated going to work so tired to come home to "rest...

Re: pressure settings
Many people find it hard to breath with only 4 cm pressure. Normal recommendation is to set your low pressure to 6 or 7. After a few nights at this pressure, it is easy to determine if you need higher pressure or not. I agree with Okie bipap. I had my range from 5-10, and upon a recommendation, I u...

I wanted to acknowledge Julie because in my experience, she has always taken the time to post something regardless of how trivial. As a newbie myself, I appreciated the support, and her suggestions really helped me. Don't be jelly

Re: How many day for good results?
It will take time. For me, it took about 2 months to get to a point that I would consider "normal" if there is such a thing. Expect to see some sort of improvement after 3-4 weeks. I caught my apnea early before it became a serious health issue, so I am fortunate for my situation. Others I have talk...

I wake 3-5 times per night. Why?
Hey all, I have pretty good energy and don't feel all that tired during the day, but man I keep on waking up! I looked at my graphs and couldn't find anything crazy last week. Which graphs should I post from sleepyhead for folks to look at? My doc just said," Well that's a tough one, let's talk abou...

Re: Almost 2 years in, still not doing well, what more can I do?
Not making any suggestions here, but perhaps you could talk to a therapist. Depression, Anxiety, and chronic stress are all potential reasons for continuing to feel sleepy. I also read about something called "true residual sleepiness." Here is an article: http://www.enttoday.org/article/residual-sle...

I don't like that word. It was a political party in Germany (National Socialist German Workers' Party)........sort of like the Democrats....... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Party See if you can find another word to replace it. https://www.quora.com/In-the-phrase-grammar-Nazi-what-words-could-...
