Re: Trying Philips Respironics Dreamware Nasal Mask

I tried the medium the first night and noticed a quick spike in my pressures when I was trying to go to sleep. The second night I tried the "medium wide" and pressure felt much better...but noticed the sore nose. 3rd night with MW, same result, fine sleep, great AHI and pressures but slight soreness...

Trying Philips Respironics Dreamware Nasal Mask

Trying this mask out, and it's making my right nostril feel sore in the morning. I've only tried it for two nights...sleeping well with it and low AHI, but the nose thing is bothersome. Any thoughts as to what may be causing this?

Re: Newbie needs mask recommendations

I had the Simplus FF as well and that bar and all the gear drove me nuts. I don't see many people utilize the nasal masks...but I went from hating the thing to really getting comfortable. Leaking is minor and only occurs if I lay sideways and fall into a certain position... I like my nasal mask beca...

Re: Newbie needs mask recommendations

I am a fellow newbie, started with a FF mask and hated it...went to a nasal mask and love it! I don't open my mouth so no issues for me...but if you do open yours, simply get a chin strap...

Re: Skipping CPAP while camping

My doctor told me (and I have a notice in my CPAP bag) that we medically get an extra carry on when we travel via airplane...

Haven't had to do it yet, but doesn't seem like a big deal.

Re: Now Hating the Airfit F20

Is a nasal mask not an option? I love mine after trying a FF mask and hating it.

Re: Skipping CPAP while camping

I will be purchasing a batter back for my cpap (or a smaller travel version) because I do LOVE to camp but just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Thoughts for ya'll - would you get the battery pack accessory for your actual machine to go camping (backcountry camping) or would you invest in a smalle...

Re: SleepyHead Results ~ Thoughts?

Thank you for the insight. A few responses: 1) I am only a month into therapy and still getting use to the machine/mask/pressure. So those "breaks" are usually caused due to a simple wake up, then I realize I need to pee so I remove the mask and take care of all that stuff. Then I usually put the tv...

Re: Newbie Struggling

Fellow newbie here...

Just keep at it...I have severe sleep apnea and was diagnosed less than a month ago. It gets better...has for me anyway. I was having 80+ AHI pre-CPAP...night one I dropped to 10...now I hover under 1.

I keep getting more and more use to the mask...it does seem to get easier.

Re: New to Cpap

Same spot as you my friend...started CPAP therapy on 4/5/17 - started with full face mask, couldn't swing it. Love my nasal mask I have now. My AHI was 80+ prior to getting diagnosed...now my AHI hovers below 1. I have had a night or two of 2's on the AHI scale...but for the most part all is well. K...

Two Newbie Questions ~ SleepyHead & Nasal Mask Replaement

Thanks to anyone that responds in advance. Two questions: 1) What information should I be pinning on my SleepyHead results for posting/observation here? So I don't have a three page thread of information... 2) How ofter are you all replacing the seal portion of your nasal masks? Do you wait until it...
