Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Really curious to see how the DS2 and AS11 stack up size wise. I own both previous versions right now, as I was traveling a ton for work and I wanted a machine for travel, so I bought a used AS10 For HER - I ended up liking that one a bit better than DS1 and swapped to it full time once COVID hit (h...

Re: Request advice regarding nasal pillows
Looking for some advice on the Nuance Pro pillows. Been long time P10 user. My DME got in a tift with REsmed and no longer carry their masks. I have at least a few month stock of parts for my P10 so no worries about running out. With things as they are in the world, Instead of trying to shop for a D...

Changing DME -- any suggestions?
So my current DME stopped carrying all Resmed products, which isn't great for me as I use an Airsense Auto 10 and Airfit P10. I need to find a new DME. What's the best way to find a new DME for a specific area (Detroit area in this case)? Any suggestions on how to navigate this process is also appre...

Yeah, in thinking about it -- most hotels have a water softener as well.

Travel: Checked Lugged with Distilled Water Packed in
Hey all, My new project for work has me traveling without a car, and taking the metro in DC to my workspace and hotel. I am not sure how easy it will be to find a drug store where I am at, so I am contemplating carrying some distilled water in a Nalgene bottle for my 3 nights. Has anyone every packe...

I've done that a few times, but it stretches back out too quickly for my taste.RandomGuest wrote:The band on the Airfit P10 will shrink significantly closer to original size after you wash it (presumably with soapy water like with Dawn dish soap, I've never washed it in plain water).

Re: Just Found Out Breeze Was Discontinued - Need A Similar Mask
but since then it seems that the masks have become worse, not better since then... but these new masks seem to be one piece and horrid at staying put. I really love the Airfit P10 -- i will agree that out of the box it's a bit bad at staying in place after the band streches. However I ordered some ...

Re: new APAP is arriving today -- what pressure should I use?
Day 2 Update (First using APAP) So much better results using APAP. I decided to set the range from 8-20 to 8-15 right before I went to bed (just being safe with having to work today). I woke up at 4am to use the bathroom, and decided to peek at my AHI -- at that point it was 1.7 (down from 17.2 the...

I did see 100% -- good to know it covers open mouth leaks.Pugsy wrote:If you saw 100% on the LCD screen for mask fit...that means you never crossed over into large leak territory at all.

Re: new APAP is arriving today -- what pressure should I use?
If you breathe or leak through your mouth, your leaks will be high and the result will be a higher AHI. Download Sleepyhead software if you want help in adjusting your therapy. There is a setting that reports leaks -- I assume it's for mask leaks, and mouth breathing wouldn't be registered by that?

Re: new APAP is arriving today -- what pressure should I use?
Those are total numbers over the entire night. You would need to divide by hours slept to get the hourly index...but in general it's primarily hyponeas which is usually obstructive in nature. Your machine in auto mode with the ability to go up somewhere will probably increase the pressure somewhat....

Re: new APAP is arriving today -- what pressure should I use?
Get the available software up and running. You are going to need it to evaluate the pressure range results. https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment There's so much more to that AHI than what you see on the LCD screen. AHI is composed of 3 categories Central/Clear Airway apnea index Obstructive Apnea index...
