Re: Weighted Blanket
It causes your body to release calming hormones (seratonin, if I remember right) and is the same concept as the weighted vests many autistic kids wear. My son has Aspergers and used a weighted lap blanket in school when he was in the elementary grades. I definitely have to have some weight on me to ...

Re: Newbie advice -Resmed AirSense10 autoset
As far as why your time doesn't match up: Hubby and I have noticed this also, in the few weeks we've been doing this. My times are pretty consistent with how long I really used it. His are not--they're almost always short. We've finally decided that it doesn't count the time he's in apnea. My AHI is...

Re: I saw the Air Mini this week and it looks amazing!
What is the tubing like? Is it the typical bulky tube, or did they find a way to make it as compact as the machine? I've wondered that, since the tube takes up about as much space as the actual machine in my current CPAP travel bag!!

Recommend questions for dr appt?
On Tuesday, I'll be going back to the sleep doc for my first appointment since starting on the CPAP machine. I wanted to ask the experienced folks here whether ya'll have any particular suggestions for this appointment. Are there questions I should ask or topics I should discuss? I've got my own lis...

Re: Newbie, can't sleep
Another great comfort item is the http://www.snugglehose.com . Snuggle hose cover. It makes the long hose feel like the blankets against your skin. It also stops the click click noise when the long hose rubs against anything hard. The one with the zipper is so much easier to go on and off. Thanks! ...

There a products that may help with your facial sensitivity. I use mask pads and liners from http://www.padacheek.com The liners and pads make the mask more comfortable against your skin. Thanks! I've looked at liners but hadn't found anything for my style of mask yet. This is a new site to me, tho...

Re: Newbie, can't sleep
Thanks for the suggestion! I don't have much trouble *falling* asleep, so I don't think this is an issue for me, but I'll definitely keep it in mind as something to try if nothing else is working!bigdave36 wrote: I did alot better when I turned off the ramp feature, 4 cmh2o is just not enough air for me.

Newbie, can't sleep
Sorry for the novel-length post!! I've been using an auto-PAP machine for just over a week. My hubby started a week ahead of me and pretty much jumped right in--no trouble. I, on the other hand, am having a terrible time, despite my score from ResMed being good on most days. (2 of the 8 days has bee...
