It's possible your insurance might require a new sleep study for a replacement CPAP machine, but it varies. Contact your doctor to discuss options and maybe keep your old machine as a backup.
In my case, I gave a copy of my old study to my MD & he ordered a replacement under insurance, but YMMV.

Re: Camping with ResMed S9, need help please!

What about something less expensive? I have set up solar panels with a sealed lead acid battery to use with my Airsense 10 during power failures. Without humidifier, I can get several nights on one charge. Here is what I use. https://www.harborfreight.com/12v-35-ah-sealed-lead-acid-battery-56770.htm...

Re: Resmed S9 ASV "Motor life exceeded"

I would not recommend the Mini for anything but travel. It has neither the sturdiness nor the sound deadening effect for full time use. You would likely be alarmed by the noise, and may be relieved when/if it dies early. Do you have a Mini? I have an Airsense 11 & I understand they use the same mot...

Re: Resmed S9 ASV "Motor life exceeded"

The "Motor Life Exceeded" message is triggered by run hours, and not any kind of diagnostic. So, your motor is not necessarily problematic, and the message will remain after changing out your motor. Having said that: The motor is 10 years old, with about $22,000 hours so definitely has a limited li...

Re: Testosterone therapy and CPAP

I just had a blood test and shows I have low testosterone, Testosterone can feed prostate cancer in men. So approach with Caution, Really. Take this seriously, especially if there is some prostate cancer in your family history. When they tested & found mine, I ended up electing for surgery. The bio...

Re: Resmed S9 ASV "Motor life exceeded"

Last year I asked my medical doctor about getting a replacement CPAP to replace my aging Aursense 10. Since I provided him with my sleep study results from about 6 years ago, he went ahead and prescribed the CPAP. As others have said, Insurance coverage and requirements vary widely. In my case I was...

Re: Eligible for a New Machine-My Dilemma

Mind if I slide in this question about the water tank of the 11. It may seem like a non-issue. When you need water, just fill it. For my use, when I fill it to the max, good for one day. For day two, still good. For day three, I have to fill it even when there is still water in the tank. For day th...

Re: Are there any sources online to download CPAP firmware?

Not relevant, really. How this usually works is there is a website or forum which has listed firmware. It is very relevant, and no, that's not how it usually works. ResMed has never supported end-user firmware updating. Why must waste their time trying to help you when you're to peak -headed to sim...

Re: Are there any sources online to download CPAP firmware?

I don't want to RMA my machine because the only issue with it is its not receiving any updates. It's been tested at the DME clinic and despite it being connected to cellular data the update isn't being pushed to it. They tried everything and the manufacturer said they want to examine it and assess ...

Re: Eligible for a New Machine-My Dilemma

The end of last year I chose an Airsense 11 to replace my Airsense 10. I did not really give it much though. I do not even remember being offered a chouice. The slim hoses are the same. not sure about the Climateline. The humidifier tank is different, as is the power connection. i understand there a...

Re: Can I use the Airsense 10 power supply with the AirMini?

There are adapters between the 10 and 11 plugs. (I didn't price-shop this link.) https://www.bixpower.com/product-p/cnt-as11-x75.htm i was not aware of this. I have the Airsense 10 DC adapter I use in power outages. Adapting to the airsense 11 would be great. Looking at the specs, assuming the adap...

Re: Can I use the Airsense 10 power supply with the AirMini?

Did you mean Airsense 10 or Airsense 11? I believe the connector on the AirMini is different than the Airsense 10 but the same as the Airsense 11. I have heard of some people using the AirMini 12V power supply on the Airsense 11. I expect an Airsense 11 power supply may work on the AirMini but not ...
