Re: Airtouch not available through Medicare--!?
Mwarn, do they do that? In my experience, Medicare is all or nothing. Either they cover it or they cover nothing. There are no partials. I ran into this problem trying to get a wheelchair for my brother. The quality ones for higher weights cost a lot more and Medicare wouldn't allow us to just pay ...

Re: Airtouch not available through Medicare--!?
Some DME's will not supply the AirTouch because ResMed is charging the DME too much and the cost is more than the Medicare allowable or pennies below - not cost effective for them. You could alway have the DME bill Medicare non-assigned for you, but you'd have to pay what they charge for the cushion...

Weird nose sensation
I use the AirFit F20 and it has worked out great for me for the past 3 months, but the last 3 nights I have started to get this weird sensation in my nose that is hard to describe. It feels like there is something in my nose when I breathe in. It's not a tingling sensation and it's not a tickle. I c...

Re: What happened?
As a slight aside, why did the good doctor think that a lower pressure was better? He said that because my pressure was 13-20 and it was nightly running in the mid-13's he wondered if I could use a lower pressure, but with my range I wasn't allowed to go lower. Now, as I stated, it's running in the...

What happened?
I've posted on this board before about having sleep onset insomnia and gotten good advice. I was recently diagnosed with borderline severe OSA on 4/4/17 and got my machine on 4/12/17. The first 2 1/2 weeks I thought my insomnia was cured. I was going to bed and falling asleep quickly - within 20 min...

Cleaning mask with Padacheek?
I have read many threads about cleaning the mask as well as Padacheek liner, but I'm still left with a question. I use the wipes daily to clean my mask and cushion and then deep clean everything - cushion, hose, water chamber, headgear - 1-2 times per week. A week ago I started using a Padacheek lin...

Does split night study mean worse apnea?
I had my sleep study done on Tuesday night, didn't know how it was ordered, but it ended up being a split night. I first slept on my stomach and was woke up maybe 2 hours later (guestimate as I have not idea what time it was) and told to sleep on my back. I fell back a sleep on my back and about a h...

Stomach Sleeping for Sleep Study?
I have my first ever sleep study scheduled for tonight and am wondering, can you sleep on your stomach with all of the sensors, belts, etc. hooked up? Although it might be bad, I've been a stomach sleeper my whole life and it's the only way I can fall asleep. I also have severe sleep onset insomnia ...

Does CPAP help insomnia?
I'm new to the board and did a search, but didn't really find an answer to my question, so I'm going to post this here in case anyone has info about what I'm experiencing. I've been dealing with chronic sleep onset insomnia for the past 6 months. It came out of nowhere. I didn't have any life changi...
