Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
Super tired - Have you ever been tested for allergies? No, I have not been tested for allergies. With the chest pains, maybe he should reduce his pressure. This has been going on for the last 10 years, I have only been using a cpap for the last 1.5 years. And it is more of a tightness in my chest t...

Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
http://i.imgur.com/mBVeHp8l.png I didn't realize it only captures one day at a time, I guess I'll post these daily for a while and see where it gets us. I think my mask is starting to be a problem. This mask was always snug and I never felt like there were leaks, but when I turn off the ramp, I not...

How to turn off the pie chart. In SleepyHead go to Preferences then Appearance tab...there you will see a line that says "show pie chart"...just remove the check mark. Thank you, it was driving me crazy that I couldn't figure this out You don't need to apologize for the way you feel Thank you, I th...

Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
Shows us a few days but in a normal format as instructed by Pugsy (no pie chart, no calendar; event flags, leaks, pressure, flows limitations should be visible; no need for mask pressure). Also, it looks like you have a ramp feature is on. I would switch it off and make sure that your mask isn't le...

Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
You are entitled to a copy of your sleep study. Once again, your leaks and FLs remain prime suspect, IMHO. I'll get a copy and post it here What about your exercise? Not nearly enough. I go hiking at least once a week, and I really do get a good workout, but its not enough. I've been meaning to sta...

Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
You said "average of 11 occurrences an hour from your sleep study... Is it AHI alone? What about RDI? Some doctors ignore that, but it can be significant What is RDI? Can I just call my doctors office and get this information? Also, last night I got a great nights sleep. Not a 'back to my old self'...

Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
Jasba64, I too am a stomach sleeper, and sleep at the very edge of my pillow, often buried in the pillow, but in a way that allows air to move freely. I've tried a cpap pillow, but it was really uncomfortable, so now I just use an old, flat pillow and it works. I'm not sure if bipap has been discuss...

Re: 14 Months on CPAP and Still Painfully Tired
ChicagoGranny - totally valid observation. I should mention that I had tried quitting as recently as a few months ago, and it is now just something I do at night, to wind down, and cope with the never ending tiredness. Although, a part of me thinks it is contributing as negatively as much as I argue...

Re: Why am I the rare case? Please tell me I'm not alone
You are not alone. I am 30 and have been on cpap for about 14 months now, and I still wake up tired every day with a headache and sore eyes. I also went about 9 years with untreated sleep apnea (ages 20-29), which might be why it's taking so long for me to feel better. I feel for you, I know what it...
