Re: Mouth blowing open
One option would be to try the Ultimate Chin Strap by Russ McMillan. Just google Utlimate Chin Strap. That one keeps your lips fairly closed as well as your chin. They do have a money back guarantee. Another option is to try one of the thinner chin straps, google the "Halo Chin Strap." It's what I ...

Re: when you cant read your sd card - solutions
It's what I use. I have to say I quite like it.yaconsult wrote:A wireless memory card is THE way to go! Never have to take the card out of the CPAP and never have a problem reading the card - just push a button on the computer and import the data into Sleepyhead.

Re: Data capture using Sleepyhead ??
Pugsy's information on Sleepyhead is correct. Sleepyhead is one of the best (if not the best) sleep analysis software to use. Software produced by the manufacturers does not approach what you will get with Sleepyhead.

Re: ASV Study Results
If these machines "learned" anything then we wouldn't have to make adjustments ourselves to the settings... None of these CPAP machines are capable of "learning." They have algorithms that are pre-programmed to respond to certain situations. That programming does not change unless there is a firmwar...

Re: I'm so tired, I'm ready to cry
A smaller good quality memory foam pillow that is fairly supportive would serve you just as well as one of those pricey "designed for CPAP pillows." When you sleep you shift around when you turn to the side your mask area will not automatically fall within that cut out area...

Re: I'm so tired, I'm ready to cry
Hang in there. Your sleeps will definitely improve. I too use the Airfit P10 and I use a collapsible stand that holds the hose up and out of my way. The bottom of the stand goes between your mattress and boxspring and there is a hook above that you hang the hose off of. It's your supply hose that ge...

Re: Is EPR best avoided?
In this, as in most things in life what works for one person will not work for another. I too have found the EPR makes a big difference in my comfort level and how I sleep. As a new CPAP user I've found that one of the best pieces of advice I was ever given was to focus on how I slept and how I felt...

Re: Is EPR best avoided?
I don't have doubts, I know it's good for some people, just wondering if it's better to try and adjust to not using it. Here's my opinion on any form of exhale relief....do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable breathing so that you have the best chance of getting good sleep. We have to be...

Also, if you are using nasal pillows. I myself am using the Airfit P10 nasal pillows and even though I fitted a medium, I went up a size to the Large and this helped the ease of my breathing greatly. No increase in leaks either.

Re: Still can't fall asleep
I would encourage you to use Sleepyhead software to post the data from your machine so that the folks here can get a better view of what all of your settings are and what you are experiencing as recorded by the machine. That way they can give you some more advice. If you have a Ramp setting of some ...
