Re: Strange snoring issue
Perhaps I need to tweak the tightness of the headgear I wouldn't do it. You haven't indicated that leaks are bothering you in any way. As RS said, your leaks are well below the level (24 lpm) that the machine can adjust for. Understood, but I just got the replacement gear yesterday, so I need to tw...

Re: Strange snoring issue
The leaks may be contributing to the excess use of water: When there is a leak, the machine blows more air through the machine and over the water in the tub. And that can increase the evaporation of water in the tub. Fix the leaks, and the water usage should go down. The only thing I can think of t...

Re: Strange snoring issue
Here's the link to last night's data. The AHI is good, but the leak rate is higher. I noticed that the time was off on the device by about fifteen minutes so I fixed that. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kaw2ievmtlg91s6/OSCAR%20230406-01.png?dl=0 Other than the leak rate my biggest concern is that my wate...

Re: Strange snoring issue
What palerider is suggesting is for you to set Min pressure = 10 and Ramp pressure = 6 or 7 so that you can still comfortably get to sleep. Thanks. palerider explained it to me yesterday. Last night I set the Min pressure to 10 and the Ramp pressure to 8. Tonight I am setting the Min to 11 and lowe...

Re: Strange snoring issue
The brain trust is currently logged off, so here is my opinion. You're as much a part of the brain trust as anyone else here. At the end of the day, make a note of how you felt during the day. Energetic? Any excess sleepiness? Thank you for your insights. I'm feeling pretty good. Not necessa...

Re: Strange snoring issue
As a first step, I would change the settings to min 8.0/max 20.0. Leave EPR on at 3. After a night of this, post the full night chart. Will do. Which position do you start out sleeping in? Any changes in position during the night? I start on my left, and for those times that I can remember waking u...

Re: Strange snoring issue
I'm saying your Min should be 10, your max 20, and your ramp whatever you need. You can set the ramp start pressure anywhere from 4 to your min pressure, and the time anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes or 'auto' where it will increase pressure when it thinks you're asleep based on breath shapes. Note, w...

Re: Strange snoring issue
A comment on definitions, ramp is different from min/max pressures. Ramp allows the starting pressure to be set very low and slowly rise to the min pressure. For example, you could set your ramp pressure to 7.0 and ramp time to 10 minutes. The machine would slowly increase to the min pressure over ...

Re: Strange snoring issue
If you can fall asleep with a min of 10, then go for it, If it gives you trouble, then you can use the ramp to start at a lower pressure (6? 7?) and let it ramp up to 10. My understanding of the Autoset 10 is that I can have it ramp up from min to max, but not from 6 or 7 to 10, and from there to a...

Re: Strange snoring issue
What is your usual sleep position? And any chance there were some pesky little leaks going on at the time? The reason I ask is that the data you posted shows a whole series of very small leaks during the time the Hs are being flagged. None of these leaks is big enough to be of any concern---except ...

Re: Strange snoring issue
Where's the snore chart? But yeah, your min should be more like 10. I didn't include it because the wiki didn't include it in the list of preferred charts. I can include that if that will help your analysis. Oh? https://www.cpaptalk.com/wiki/index.php/Oscar:organize Plus, I mean, you're asking abou...
