Would like something smaller, plus I use the humidifier. But it may make sense to get an identical one and keep it ready for travel.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 1:50 pmWhy do you want a travel machine? Why not take your Dreamstation? Or, do your travels necessitate a battery?

Travel Machine Recommendations for. BiPAP user
I just did an overnight trip and decided not to bother with taking my machine. Big mistake. I would like to get a travel machine that supports BiPAP, as I require high pressures (21/15). Are there any current BiPAP users who can recommend what devices might or might not work? With thanks, HockeyGirl22

Re: Frequency of cleaning Disposable Parts
Thanks Pugsy! I learned quickly not to use too much night cream where my mask goes. Did lots of cleaning then!
I generally open the humidifier each morning to allow moisture to escape. And I periodically rinse the removable tank.

Frequency of cleaning Disposable Parts
I've been on Bi-PAP since March and feel fabulous! However, I have been quite lazy about cleaning the mask and tube. And I wear my mask until it seems to leak air before I replace it. I'm curious to know how others address the cleaning frequency.
With thanks,

User Experience with Hose Cover
Would appreciate your thoughts with using a hose cover if your machine uses heated tubing to the mask. Does the cover make a noticeable difference with your CPAP therapy? Thanks in advance.

Re: Weight Gain directly after starting using CPAP
My physician warned me that once I was sleeping better, I could easily gain weight. Give it some time, and possibly speak to a nutritionist to see if your diet needs any tweaking. Good luck!

Re: dry mouth
I have the same challenge. My doctor as well as my DME provider both suggested that the bedroom might be too dry. They suggested running a small humidifier in the room. If you have one, give it a try to see if it makes any difference.

Re: Dry Mouth
Hollis, one of the support techs at the DME suggested the bedroom may not have enough humidity. I asked my sleep doctor and he agreed. We now have a room humidifier we use t night. Seems to be helping my dry mouth. You might want to give this a try. Good luck!

Dry mouth problems
I have been on BiPAP machine a little more than one month, with very good success. Now I am experiencing a dry mouth most mornings. Can't know for certain if I open my mouth at night, but don't think so. Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions for eliminating this problem.

Machine Placement
At what level on my nightstand can my BiPap machine be placed? It is at the same level as the mattress, bit I would like to put it on the next shelf below, about 18" lower. I've completed my first 3 weeks on the machine and feel tremendous! Who knew what a good night's sleep would feel like. thanks ...

Re: Day 11 - Humidifier Question
This does seem to be an issue with the DreamStation models. Since I get up at least one each night to pee, I refill the tank to the line at that time. This might not work for everybody and might disturb a bed partner. I've put a small pitcher next to the machine so if I am awake, I can refill the h...

Re: Day 11 - Humidifier Question
Your pressures are relatively high and that alone will use up more water than someone using half your pressure. How many settings for humidity does your DreamStation have with the heated hose? I was thinking the setting of 3 was a relatively low setting and that it went up to 6 or 8. I can't find t...

Re: Day 11 - Humidifier Question
I am generally sleeping 8 to 8.5 hours each night. Humidity in our home is in the 30 -40% range.Pugsy wrote:How many hours are you usually using it or sleeping?
