Re: Sleep study data

I went to the dr yesterday and he suspects narcolepsy so I'm having another sleep study done. I asked about a data capable machine and he said since my current ahi is below 2 he doesn't feel it's necessary. Went to target last night and all but fell asleep walking down the aisles so if it's not narc...

Another sleep study

Went to see the doc today and he thinks I may have narcolepsy. That would explain having difficulty staying awake while walking, driving and sometimes talking. Now I get to go in for another sleep study this Saturday. Does anyone have experience with narcolepsy?

Dreamstation mask setting

I recently switched from a nasal mask to an Amara View which I love. Should I have changed the mask setting? If so to what?

Sleep study data

Today I received my sleep study reports and it kind of shed some light on some things but it also raises more questions. I was aware that I had sleep apnea years ago but the events were so few and far between that when I had a sleep study done nothing happened. No events meant no treatment. I didn't...

Not just sleep apnea...

When my whole chronic fatigue issue started back in December I went along with the idea it could simply be sleep apnea. I knew I had it for some time and my kids said I snored...loudly. Well after successful cpap therapy I still feel like crap so it looks like it's my thyroid that is now the cause. ...

One good night's sleep on the books!

I switched from my nasal mask to an Amara View and got the best sleep I've had since getting my cpap last week. It was comfortable, quiet, fit perfectly and I didn't have to adjust it once throughout the night.

Re: Where is the relief???

For the love of God! My dme provider is not lying to me! My cpap has a modem which transmits compliance data. Google dreamstation modem. No I can not view my data but my dme provider can.

Re: Where is the relief???

I called the DME provider and was told they provide the dreamstation brick that I have as well as the pro and auto and they are all the same price. He also told me though that since they already billed my insurance (medicaid) that I can't do an exchange of machines. He mentioned that I'd have to pay...

Re: Now I'm tired AND I have a cold!

Already have an amara mask coming today. My mouth had been dropping open at night so I called and requested one yesterday. I'm still able to breathe out of my nose though.

Now I'm tired AND I have a cold!

Oh life is just grand! I thought by using the humidifier I'd be dodging this bullet. When the therapist originally did my set up she had the humidity on 4. After 2 nights of waking up to a wet nose I decided that wasn't a good setting and took it down to 2. Woke up with a dry nose so put it at 3 and...
