Three cups of coffee in the morning, now it"s Yerba Mate. Google says 95 mg caffeine in one cup of coffee vs 80 mg for Yerba.
So I don't think it's caffeine.

Re: Yerba Mate tea
Maybe but I usually drink coffee only in the AM but have substituted with Yerba mate. I never drink caffeinated drinks after noon.

Re: Yerba Mate tea
I have, I drank Yerba Mate for several weeks and noticed a difference. I ran out and didn't buy any for a while my AHI went up. So I purchased more and after a few days my numbers are back down. So maybe it is just me, was hoping someone else had tried it.

Yerba Mate tea
I have been drinking Yerba Mate tea and my AHI numbers are down. Last night was .7 with no other changes to pressure, mask, or any other parameters. I have used CPAP for close to 20 years and an AHI near 1 is a really good night for me. With most nights ranging from 2 to 4 AHI mixed obstructive and ...

Re: hybrid mask hurting my nose
I use the same mask. Ands towards the end of the night feels like the mask is trying to relocate your nose up to your forehead. I used a piece of shoelace with a loop on each end and ran it from one lower strap under my chin to the other lower strap. It's a little fidley getting the lace the right l...

I think the V-COM could be a benefit to you, your current therapy has made you grumpy.

Re: SleepRes V-Com - Opinions?
OK another way to look at this. All hospital ventilators have a flow rate adjustment. This adjustment can be anywhere from 60-120 L.min. Based on calculation of time constant of the expiratory flow. Can you imagine a ventilator without that adjustment? How would you adequately ventilate and 110 poun...

Re: SleepRes V-Com - Opinions?
I dissagree, we can adjust pressures, and to a certain extent IPAP/EPAP with EPR or flex. Why not the flow? The V-COM is a simple peice of plastic that limits flow, making new pap users more comfortable. And couldn't it possibly make CPAP more effective in reducing AHI for certain patients? For exam...

Re: SleepRes V-Com - Opinions?
I watched the video again with LeftyLanky. He goes out of his way to assure the viewer he won't hawk products for profit and I believe him. So I ordered a V-COM, will give my opinion after a few nights with it.

oral only cpap mask
Instead of using a nasal mask and taping our mouth, why not use an oral mask and use a swim nose clip and block the nose?
A little tongue in cheek but why not?
